%X With this small historical review we want to acknowledge the work of a group of professors who began teaching at a very young age, since the founding of Higher Medical Teaching in the Medical school Ra¨²l Dortic¨®s Torrado in Cienfuegos, and in the Orthopaedics and Traumatology Service in the University hospital Dr. Gustavo Alderegu¨ªa Lima. The first group of Pre and Post Graduated courses began in September, 1st 1982, with the arrival of the first group of fifth year of Medicine from Santa Clara Medical School and the beginning of the residency by Dr. Eduardo Sarmiento S¨¢nchez after an educational accreditation of the Service by a National Commission headed by Professor Ren¨¦ Lorie P¨¦rez. Pretendemos con este modesto recuento hist¨®rico prospectivo, reconocer la labor desarrollada de un grupo de profesores que comenzaron siendo muy j¨®venes desde la fundaci¨®n de la docencia m¨¦dica superior en nuestra Facultad de Ciencias M¨¦dicas Dr. Ra¨²l Dorticos Torrado de Cienfuegos. En el Servicio de Ortopedia y Traumatolog¨ªa del Hospital Universitario Dr. Gustavo Aldereguia Lima, de Cienfuegos, la primera expresi¨®n de formaci¨®n de Pre y Post Grado comenz¨® el 1ro. de Septiembre de 1982, con la llegada del primer grupo de 5to. a o de Medicina proveniente del la Escuela de Medicina de Santa Clara, y el comienzo de la residencia por el Dr. Eduardo Sarmiento S¨¢nchez, previa acreditaci¨®n docente del Servicio por una Comisi¨®n Nacional encabezada por el Profesor Ren¨¦ Lorie P¨¦rez.
