%X Si se considera que el Dictamen M¨¦dico Legal es una herramienta de calidad de la atenci¨®n al paciente en la Cl¨ªnica M¨¦dico Forense, surge la interrogante de si ¨¦stos est¨¢n cumpliendo con est¨¢ndares de calidad y si se est¨¢n elaborando de acuerdo con los protocolos establecidos para tal fin. En el peritaje m¨¦dico legal la calidad es importante ya que en el informe que brinda el m¨¦dico, ya sea oral o escrito, el inicial o el definitivo, se basar¨¢ la Autoridad Judicial como elemento de prueba para considerar y dictar sentencia. La elaboraci¨®n de requisitos de calidad constituye un instrumento para evaluar los servicios m¨¦dicos y los centros de salud, mediante objetivos y est¨¢ndares previamente definidos. En la Cl¨ªnica M¨¦dico Forense hasta 1999, el control interno de calidad de los Dict¨¢menes M¨¦dico Legales se basaba principalmente en la inspecci¨®n final de estos por parte de la Jefatura de Secci¨®n y la Jefatura de Departamento, cuando les correspond¨ªa revisarlos y/o refrendarlos. La evaluaci¨®n que hace uso de indicadores de calidad de atenci¨®n m¨¦dica no se hab¨ªa definido hasta el a o 2000 en la Secci¨®n de Cl¨ªnica M¨¦dico Forense. La calidad de la atenci¨®n debe verificarse en la estructura, el proceso y en el resultado de la atenci¨®n, para lo que se proponen una serie de indicadores de proceso. If the Legal-Medical Determinations are an instrument of quality in the attention to the patient in clinical services, we must ask ourselves if they reach high quality standards and if they are being elaborated in accordance with the established protocols laid down for such purpose. The quality of the Forensic Evaluation made by the medic is of great importance, because it is this report, be it oral or written, initial or definitive, that the Judicial Authority will use as element of proof to consider and to dictate sentences. The elaboration of quality requirements constitute an instrument to evaluate the medical services and the health centers, by making use of objectives and standards previously established. In the Medical-Forensic Clinic, until 1999, the internal control quality of the Legal-Medical Dictaminations was based on the final inspection made by the Head of Section and the Head Department, when they had to review them and/or legalize them. The evaluation that makes use of quality indicators of medical attention were nor defined until the year 2000 in the Section of Medical Forensic Clinic.
