%0 Journal Article %T Joni Mitchell - Music & Feminism %A Ruth Charnock %J United Academics Journal of Social Sciences %D 2012 %I %X The singer-songwriter Joni Mitchell has often been portrayed as an important artist for the second-wave feminist movement. Yet she has repeatedly resisted the label of ¡®feminist¡¯ throughout the years, expressing her discomfort with the movement. This article considers Mitchell¡¯s uneasy relationship with feminism and gender politics.
