%0 Journal Article %T New Approch For Wireless Communication Security Protocol By Using Mutual Authentication %A Atishay Bansal %A Dinesh Sharma %A Gajendra Singh %A Tumpa Roy %J Advanced Computing : an International Journal %D 2012 %I Academy & Industry Research Collaboration Center (AIRCC) %X In this paper, a new Global System of Mobile Communication (GSM) authentication protocol is proposed to improve some drawbacks of the existing GSM authentication architecture including: (a) not supporting bilateral authentication between MS and VLR; (b) huge bandwidth consumption between VLR and HLR; (c) storage space overhead in VLR; (d) overloaded in HLR with authentication of mobile stations, The main emphasis of this paper to improve some of these drawbacks of the existing GSM architecture.
