%X The purpose of the hereby article to analyze and assess costs in the Polishhard coal mining industry in years 2006-2010 during the period of economicimprovement on the market of traditional energetic resources. It is an issue whichsignificantly affects the competitiveness of Polish coal on the world markets. In thelight of the results, the improvement of competitiveness will be possible if the salariesrise is decreased and also the effectiveness of employment restructuring is improved.
