A pesar de que sus indicaciones est芍n reguladas, la oferta resulta habitualmente insuficiente por lo que se sospecha una sobre utilizaci車n de este f芍rmaco en la pr芍ctica cl赤nica habitual, por tal motivo se realiz車 un estudio de utilizaci車n del medicamento en 11 hospitales de Ciudad de La Habana para caracterizar la prescripci車n de este f芍rmaco postcomercializaci車n. Se analiz車 la prescripci車n en 425 pacientes encontrando que el 94,1 % recibi車 el medicamento en la consulta externa del hospital, el 70,8 % de las prescripciones no est芍 dentro de las aprobadas en el registro sanitario, el 56,7 % de las indicaciones fueron en enfermedades infecciosas recurrentes y se emplearon 34 esquemas de tratamiento diferentes. Concluimos que el uso de FT en la pr芍ctica cl赤nica habitual no se ajusta a las regulaciones aprobadas para su empleo The transfer factor is an immunostimulant that is used in a wide array of diseases. Therefore, a drug utilization study was conducted in 11 hospitals located in the City of Havana to characterize the after-market prescription of this pharmaceutical. Prescribing practices were analyzed in 425 patients, which yielded that 94.1% was given the drug by the outpatient service, 70.8% of prescriptions were not included in those approved by the health registry; 56.7% was directed to treat recurrent infectious diseases and 34 different therapeutic schemes were followed.
