%X El art¨ªculo se centra en una pieza fundamental del entramado te¨®rico de la filosof¨ªa de laciencia de Thomas Kuhn, el conocimiento t¨¢cito. La importancia de un tipo de conocimiento que no esposible (ni necesario) reducir a reglas ni definiciones y que no es adquirido con recurso exclusivo a lal¨®gica es esencial para Kuhn dentro de la Ciencia. El art¨ªculo indaga en los or¨ªgenes de esta idea en elpensamiento kuhniano, rastreando las influencias ejercidas en este aspecto por la psicolog¨ªa de la Gestalty el segundo Wittgenstein. Examina la relaci¨®n de esta idea con los aportes filos¨®ficos de Kuhn m¨¢sconocidos y divulgados, a saber, el concepto de paradigma (ejemplar) y la caracterizaci¨®n de las fases dedesarrollo cient¨ªfico conocidas como ciencia normal y revoluci¨®n cient¨ªfica; confirmando que sin lautilizaci¨®n de un tipo de conocimiento de esta naturaleza dichas ideas no hubiesen tenido el fundamentonecesario para ser enunciadas. Para finalizar, se revisa la importancia del conocimiento t¨¢cito a trav¨¦s deluso de la met¨¢fora y de los experimentos imaginarios en la ciencia, como veh¨ªculos mediante el cual elcient¨ªfico puede ponerse en contacto con esta dimensi¨®n de su conocimiento. The article focuses on a fundamental piece of the theoretical framework where the work ofThomas Kuhn develops, tacit knowledge. The importance of such a kind of knowledge, that is notpossible (nor necessary) to reduce into rules and definitions, and that is not acquired with exclusiverecourse to logic is essential for Kuhn within Science. The article investigates the origins of this idea inkuhnian work, searching for influences exerted by Gestalt psychology and the second Wittgenstein. Itexamines the relation between this idea and Kuhn¡¯s most known and important philosophicalcontributions, the concept of paradigm (exemplar) and the incommensurability of scientific theories;confirming that without the utilization of a kind of knowledge of this nature such ideas would not havehad the necessary support to be stated. At the end of the article, the importance of tacit knowledgethrough the use of metaphor and thought experiments is revised, as vehicles through which the scientistcan put himself in touch with this dimension of knowledge.
