%X Having been in a search of stocks and markets due to the industrial revolution, the imperialist states have made a bid for obtaining a concession of railway from the Ottoman Empire since the mids of the nineteenth century. As soon as these states have struggled for obtaining the railway concession by a great deal of different requirements, they have tried to enlarge their domains that would contain abundant oil fields on the Ottoman mainland. At the beginning of the twentieth century, America got involved in these states with the project ¡°Chester¡±.  n this study, the attempts of the Chester Group on the obtainment of the railway concession and the results have been evaluated in collaboration with the news and reports about the subject in the newspaper named ¡°Hakimiyet-i Milliye¡±.
