%X Se realiz¨® un estudio prospectivo de la inmunidad celular de 44 pacientes con acn¨¦ que acudieron a la Consulta Externa del Hospital "General Calixto Garc¨ªa" durante el a o 1992, mediante el test de roseta espont¨¢nea y de roseta activa, para aportar nuevos elementos que ayuden a esclarecer uno de los aspectos m¨¢s controvertidos de la patogenia del acn¨¦, el inmunol¨®gico. La formaci¨®n de roseta espont¨¢nea estuvo por debajo de los valores normales en el 64 % de los enfermos, en el de roseta activa tuvieron respuesta normal el 55 % de los casos. Hubo disminuci¨®n significativa de la formaci¨®n de roseta espont¨¢nea y activa en relaci¨®n con los grados de intensidad del acn¨¦. En los pacientes con acn¨¦ vulgar estudiados, la inmunidad celular parece estar comprometida y relacionada con los grados de intensidad del acn¨¦, hecho muy importante que abrir¨ªa nuevas perspectivas en la inmunoterapia para el tratamiento de esta afecci¨®n. A prospective study of cell-mediated immunity was carried out in 44 patients presenting with acne who were attended at the out patient service of "Calixto Garc¨ªa" Hospital during 1992, by the spontaneous rosetting assay and the active roselting formation test with the aim of providing with new elements for elucidating one of the most controversial aspects of the pathogenesis of acne, i.e. the immunological aspect. The spontaneous rosetting formation was found to be below normal values in 64 % of patients, while the active rosething formation showed a normal response in 55 % of cases. There was a significant reduction in the formation of spontaneous and active rosettes related to the severity degree of acne. In patients presenting with acne vulgaris, the cell-mediated immunity seems to be compromized and related to the degrees of severity of the disease, fact that appears to be very important and may lead to new perspectives for the immunologic therapy of this condition.
