%X K rkkilise High School which was opened in 1892 was fateful for the recent history of the region because in this region, it was the most important education intuitions in the last half century of the Ottoman Empire. Actually, the history of the school was begun with the opening as a middle school hence 1869-70¡¯s because K rkkilise Middle School was converted into the high school by means of changing the length of the time of the education and the syllabus although a big majority of the students and the teachers and even the building stayed the same.The aim of the K rkkilise High School was growing up the persons who had sense of leadership. Therefore, a lot of people who was important for the recent history of the K rkkilise had received education from this school which was the only Muslim High School in town in that time. The school¡¯s education was interrupted due to the invasions of Russians, Bulgarians and Greeks in 1877-78, 1912-13 and 1920-22, respectively. Apart from this, it had survived till the end of the administration of the Ottoman Empire
