%X La fibromialgia es uno de los s赤ndromes reum芍ticos m芍s comunes, caracterizado por dolores musculoesquel谷ticos y puntos dolorosos sin existir sinovitis ni miositis. Se estudiaron 20 pacientes con diagn車stico de fibromialgia para conocer, mediante la prueba ergom谷trica, las alteraciones del sistema nervioso aut車nomo. Se observ車, en el grupo control, un incremento normal de la frecuencia al adoptar el ortostatismo lo cual refleja activaci車n del sistema simp芍tico, mientras que en las pacientes con fibromialgia no existi車 dicho reflejo. Se comprob車 incremento adecuado de la tensi車n arterial en el 87 % de las pacientes con fibromialgia, infradesnivel del ST mayor de 1 mm en el 20 % de las pacientes, ausencia de arritmia y s赤ntomas de cardiopat赤a en todas las pacientes y disminuci車n de la capacidad f赤sica en 4.Se concluy車 que las pacientes con fibromialgia presentan una disfunci車n del sistema nervioso aut車nomo. Fibromyalgia is one of the commonest rheumatic symptoms, characterized by musculoskeletal pain and painful points with neither synovitis nor myositis. 20 patients with diagnosis of fibromyalgia were studied to know the alterations of the autonomous nervous system by the ergometric test. In the control group, it was observed a normal increase of frequency on adopting orthostatism, which reflects the activation of the sympathetic system. This reflex did not exist among the patients with fibromyalgia. An adequate rise of the arterial pressure in 87 % of the patients with fibromyalgia, an infraunevenness of the ST over 1 mm in 20 % of the patients, an absence of arrhytmia and symptoms of heart disease in all patients, and a reduction of physical capacity in 4, were proved. It was concluded that patients with fibromyalgia present a dysfunction of the autonomous nervous system.
