%X En este trabajo se present車 un software para el c芍lculo de los A os de Vida Perdidos, uno de los componentes de los AVAD. Se ilustr車 la aplicaci車n de este programa a dos tablas del Anuario Estad赤stico del MINSAP 1997, con la distribuci車n de la mortalidad por grupos de edades y por a os (desde 1970 hasta la fecha) en un caso, y por grupos de edades y por provincias en 1997 en el otro. Los c芍lculos se realizaron para distintas ponderaciones de las edades, y para distintos descuentos en el tiempo del "valor" de un a o de vida saludable. Se puso de manifiesto la posibilidad que tienen los AVP de hacer m芍s integral la evaluaci車n de la carga de la mortalidad, su distribuci車n en el espacio y su evoluci車n en el tiempo. In this work a software for the calculation of the Years of Life Lost, one of the components of the AVAD was presented. It was shown the application of this program to two tables of MINSAP's Statistic Yearbook of 1997, with the distribution of mortality by groups of ages and by years (since 1970 up to the present, in a case, and by groups of ages and by provinces in 1997 in the other. The calculations were performed for different determinations of the ages, and for different reductions in the time of the "value" of a healthy year of life. It was evidenced the possibility the YLL have to become more comprehensive the evaluation of the load of mortality, its distribution in space and its evolution in time.
