%X El objetivo del presente trabajo es aproximarse, desde una perspectiva etnomusicol車gica, a las estrategias de reproducci車n identitaria del Pueblo mapuche, en un contexto actual y bajo la l車gica multicultural imperante en Chile. Para esto, revisaremos algunos sucesos que condicionan la actual relaci車n entre el Estado chileno y el Pueblo mapuche, y centraremos el an芍lisis de las manifestaciones culturales y musicales en los conceptos de etnicidad y relevancia social. De esta manera, y escapando de cualquier presupuesto idealista, intentar谷 sugerir una reflexi車n basada en el grado de conexi車n entre m迆sica y cultura, analizando usos y funciones, en casos concretos y en contextos espec赤ficos. Palabras Clave: Pueblo Mapuche, Chile, multiculturalismo, m迆sica, etnicidad, identidad ______________________________ Abstract: The objective of this work is to outline, from an ethnomusicologic perspective, the strategies of identity reproduction of the Mapuche people in the present context under the prevailing multicultural logic in Chile. For this, we will review some events that condition the present relation between the Chilean State and the Mapuche people and will carry out the analysis of the cultural and musical manifestations based on the ethnicity and social relevance concepts. In this way, by analyzing uses and functions in particular cases and specific contexts and avoiding any idealisation of data, I will suggest that a discussion of the present issue should be based on the degree of connection between music and culture.
