%X Se evalu車 una colecci車n de 50 accesiones de Teramnus spp, con el objetivo de seleccionar las de mejor comportamiento durante la etapa de establecimiento. El estudio se realiz車 en la EEPF  Indio Hatuey , en un suelo Ferral赤tico Rojo compactado. Para ello se dividi車 esta etapa en dos fases, la primera correspondi車 al monitoreo durante el tiempo que estuvieron las plantas en bolsas y la segunda desde que se pasaron a campo hasta que se complet車 dicha etapa; en esta segunda fase se estim車 cada 15 d赤as la cobertura y se utiliz車 la siguiente escala: 1= 10-20% de 芍rea cubierta (muy poco cubierta), 2= 21-40% de 芍rea cubierta (poco cubierta), 3= 41-60% de 芍rea cubierta (parcialmente cubierta), 4= 61-80% de 芍rea cubierta (cubierta) y 5= > 80% de 芍rea cubierta (bien cubierta). Al realizar el monitoreo en la primera fase del establecimiento se constat車 que se sembraron en bolsas el 98% (49 accesiones), ya que de una no se obtuvo semilla; de estas accesiones solo fue posible pasar a campo el 67,3% (33 accesiones), ya que el resto (16 accesiones) murieron antes que alcanzaran el tama o establecido para ello. De las pasadas a campo cinco murieron durante los primeros 15 d赤as de evaluaci車n, por lo que se mantuvieron 28. De estas, el 67,8% (19 accesiones) mostraron los mejores valores de cobertura durante el establecimiento, por lo que se recomienda realizar su evaluaci車n durante la fase de explotaci車n. A collection of 50 Teramnus spp. accessions was evaluated, with the objective of selecting those with better performance during the establishment stage. The study was conducted at the EEPF  Indio Hatuey , on a compacted Ferralitic Red soil. For that this stage was divided in two phases, the first one corresponded to monitoring during the time the plants were kept in bags and the second phase since they were transferred to the field until such stage was completed; in this second phase cover was estimated every 15 days and the following scale was used: 1= 10-20% covered area (very little covered), 2= 21-40% covered area (little covered), 3= 41-60% covered area (partially covered), 4= 61-80% covered area (covered) and 5= >80% area covered (well covered). When monitoring in the fist stage of establishment it was observed that 98% was sown in bags (49 accessions), because seed was not obtained from one of them; from these accessions only 67,3% (33 accessions) could be transferred to the field, because the rest (16 accessions) died before reaching the height established for that purpose. From the plants transferred to the field five died during the first 15 days of evaluation,
