%X Se realiza un estudio del cariotipo de Rhodophiala aff. advena (Ker-Gawl.) Traub en dos poblaciones colectadas en la VIII Regi車n de Chile, mediante hibridaci車n in situ fluorescente (FISH) con sondas de rDNA 5S y 18S/25S y tinci車n con DAPI. Se encuentra una dotaci車n cromos車mica 2n = 2x = 18. Las poblaciones estudiadas no presentan diferencias significativas tanto en el 赤ndice de asimetr赤a del cariotipo AsI % como en el 赤ndice de asimetr赤a intracromosomal A1. El complemento diploide de ambas poblaciones est芍 constituido por 2 pares de cromosomas metac谷ntricos, 3 pares submetac谷ntricos y 4 pares subteloc谷ntricos. Las secuencias de genes de RNA ribos車mico se localizan en 3 de los 9 pares de cromosomas. Los cromosomas 2 y 4 presentan un sitio de rDNA 5S en la porci車n terminal del brazo largo, mientras que el cromosoma 7 lleva un locus de rDNA 18S/ 25S en la porci車n subterminal del brazo, que corresponde a la regi車n organizadora nucleolar (NOR). Se discuten los resultados con otros previos en el g谷nero. Double fluorescence in situ hybridization was used to examine the karyotype of two populations of Rhodophiala aff. advena (Ker-Gawl.) Traub from Chile, VIII Region, including the location of 5S and 18S/25S rDNA gene sequences with DAPI. The species is 2n = 2x = 18. There are no significant differences between the chromosomal asymmetric index (AsI %) and intrachromosomal index (A1) among populations. The chromosome set contains 2 pairs of metacentric chromosomes, 3 pairs of submetacentric chromosomes and 4 pairs of subtelocentric chromosomes in both populations. Signal of 5S and 18S/25S rDNA were seen in 3 of the 9 chomosomes pairs. Chromosome 2 and 4 showed a signal of 5S rDNA in the terminal part of the long arm, whereas the chromosome 7 showed a 18S/25S rDNA signal in the subterminal portion of the long arm, corresponding to the nucleolar organizer region (NOR). The results are discussed with others previous in the genus.
