%X El objetivo del presente art赤culo es argumentar la importancia del componente social en el uso de los objetos de aprendizaje y su contribuci車n a la formaci車n de valores en estudiantes y profesores, una necesidad en la actualidad, por el incremento en los 迆ltimos a os en Cuba de la modalidad de estudio semipresencial y a distancia como v赤as para lograr la universalizaci車n del conocimiento. Se enumeran las principales causas que han impedido el 谷xito de estos recursos, identificadas tras la revisi車n bibliogr芍fica, entrevistas y la aplicaci車n de una encuesta estructurada a seis instituciones de educaci車n superior cubana. Las encuestas fueron encaminadas fundamentalmente a determinar la frecuencia de elaboraci車n conjunta de objetos de aprendizaje entre profesores, el nivel de conocimiento y la utilizaci車n de herramientas inform芍ticas para su creaci車n y gesti車n. Como resultado se describen algunas de las medidas que pueden ser adoptadas por las instituciones para revertir la situaci車n existente en cuanto a la producci車n, el compartir y reutilizar los contenidos. El an芍lisis y las propuestas que se presentan en el art赤culo tienen un car芍cter general y puede ser aplicado por cualquier centro con procesos educativos independientemente de la especialidad. The aim of this paper is to argue the importance of the social component in the use of Learning Object and its contribution to the formation of values in students and teachers, a current need, due to the increase of semipresential learning and distance study in recent years in Cuba as ways to achieve the universalization of knowledge. Lists the main causes that have prevented the success of these resources, identified through the literature review, interviews and application of a structured survey to six Cuban Higher Education Institutions.The surveys were designed essentially to determine the frequency of joint development of learning objects among teachers, the level of knowledge and use of software tools for its creation and management. As a result it describes some of the measures that can be taken by the institutions to reverse the existing situation regarding to the production, sharing and reusing of contents. The analysis and proposals presented in the article are general in nature and can be applied for any center with educational processes regardless of specialty.
