%X The article opens a series of publi§ãations devoted to the comparative linguistic and cultural analysis of basic rituals of the modern Russian and Chinese urban cultures. The data presented in the articles results from the research carried out by a group of Chinese postgraduates under the guidance of professor G.G. Slyshkin.
