%X Due to the problem of efficiency and huge load of server in current common WebGIS, this paper proposed a method to build WebGIS based on FastCGI by the model of multi-process and distributed cluster. This paper introduced the architecture, functional modules, working flow, and realization of distributed cluster of the map server of WebGIS based on FastCGI. By these theories, built a WebGIS which implemented the OGC specification. The result shows that a WebGIS based on FastCGI by multi-process and distributed cluster more efficient, steadily, and more scalable than common WebGIS using other models.
