%X The 20 scientometric indicators with 64 indices for Chinese Journal of Rock Mechanics and Engineering (CJRME) from 1997 to 2001 are collected. According to the magnitude of these indices the ranks for CJRME are given between the 12 source journals of mechanical discipline. By 5 scientometric indicators,such as the total citations,impact factor,immediacy index,article supported by fund rate and other cited rate for CJRME in 2001,the comprehensive evaluation is conducted and a good result obtained of which ranks third in the 12 source journals.
