Examples of wine fraud past and present are given, and a suggestion about the extent of contemporary consumer fraud in Europe is provided. Technological possibilities for future detection and prevention of both forms of wine fraud are discussed. %K adulteration %K counterfeit %K detection %U https://www.dovepress.com/wine-fraud-peer-reviewed-article-IJWR
