The scale is composed of two subscales (9 items each) which measure degree of independent and interdependent self-construal. The scale was constructed for the needs of empirical research conducted in order to psychologically characterize individuals with different types of self-construal. The Polish adaptation of SCS has satisfactory reliability (Cronbach's alpha) and construct validity (via exploratory and confirmatory factor analyses and correlations with Relational-Interdependent Self-Construal Scale; RISC; Cross, Bacon & Morris, 2000). Although further research are needed, it may be assumed that this tool can be successfully used in research on regulative meaning of self-construal. %K konstrukt Ja %K narz dzie %K rzetelno %K trafno %U http://versita.metapress.com/content/m74218u435r72641/?p=3aea69e705fb4ae3bc6d6eefcab71374&pi=1
