%X In recent years there has been a general realisation that supported gold and gold bimetallic nanoparticles can be very effective for a broad range of redox reactions. In this paper we review the preparation of gold palladium nanoparticles using a sol-immobilisation methodology and show their effectiveness for the oxidation of benzyl alcohol and the direct synthesis of hydrogen peroxide.
