Cristina %J Revista de historia del derecho %D 2010 %I Scientific Electronic Library Online %X the cohabitation of the government power with the native communities at the rio de la plata viceroy-ship causes singular demographic and conflictive topics, with labor effects in the society and in the economic activity. since the turn of the 18th century the land is filled with a new debate in regards to the natives' labor, being the main characters the crown's hierarchical officers. it was a discussion that influenced the university formation of those that later on would be part of the 1810 revolutionary conduction. the comparison of trajectories and scenarios reveals a process of vindicating policies for the natives that started at the alto peru, crossed the atlantic with american proposals in bayona and at the cortes de c¨¢diz, and because of the revolution government carried those goals in the military expeditions. the topic came into being in the laws sanctioned in 1813 and appeared in the discussion about government forms in 1816. this difficult problematic that still has pending debts, has been searched in several sources: documents, newspapers, laws, and select bibliography. %K natives %K rights %K may revolution %K politics. %U http://www.scielo.org.ar/scielo.php?script=sci_abstract&pid=S1853-17842010000100007&lng=en&nrm=iso&tlng=en
