%0 Journal Article %T QUEILONASO Y ESTAFILORRAFIA PRECOZ EN UN TIEMPO QUIRURGICO: RESULTADOS POSTOPERATORIOS. 1990-2006 %A Garmend¨ªa Hern¨¢ndez %A Georgia %A Felipe Garmendia %A Angel Mario %A Vila Morales %A Dadonim %J Revista Habanera de Ciencias M£¿£¿dicas %D 2008 %I Ministerio de Salud Publica %X the combined cleft palate fissures are among the most difficult to treat morph physiological abnormalities. in the last decades, there has been a valuation in whether to treat precociously the soft palate along with the lip with the purpose to obtain better aesthetical and functional results. this investigation has the reason to evaluate the results of the application of palatorrhaphy in patients with cleft lip (plap) or their combinations, who were treated in our service in the last 15 years, regarding: sample presentations, maxillary growth and development, occlusion, phonetic and aesthetic results. a descriptive study was performed in a universe of 207 patients with cleft lip and palate fissures (clpf) that were surgically intervened in our service, the sample was made out of the 122 who were submitted to such technique. the 40,2% of the patients had clpf out of which the 69,4% was unilateral and the rest bilateral. the 56, 5%, isolated non syndromic palate fissure and only the rest were complete. the total of the sample had a normal growth and development. the 97% of the sample were evaluated as aesthetically satisfactory and the 91% was phonetically evaluated as favorable. results speak in favor of this technique for the treatment of these fissures. %K combined cleft palate fissures %K precocious palatostaphilorrhaphy %K palatorrhaphy %K staphylorhaphy. %U http://scielo.sld.cu/scielo.php?script=sci_abstract&pid=S1729-519X2008000100007&lng=en&nrm=iso&tlng=en
