%X a five year old boy previously healthy dies as a consequence of a dengue hemorrhagic fever-associated fulminant myocarditis. den 1 was showed in the liver tissue by rt-pcr. to our knowledge this is the first case of fulminant myocarditis during the course of dengue virus infection in neiva, colombia.
