%X the goals of this work were to evaluate the influence of the irrigation on the cashew apple production and the ratio of apple: nut weights in dwarf cashew (anacardium occidentale l.). three clones were evaluated (cp 09, cp 76 and cp 1001), under four irrigation levels (a: control - without irrigation; b: irrigation with 1 day interval; c: with 3 days interval, and d: with 5 days interval). the experimental design was in randomized blocks, with split-split plots and four replicates, with irrigation levels in plots and clones in splited-plots, each one with four plants. the amount of water used was based on information from class a evaporation pan. the results led to the following conclusions: the response of dwarf cashew to the irrigation is dependent of genotype; cp 76 presents the biggest ratio of apple: nut weights, what elects in the clone more suitable for production of apples for in natura consumption; clone cp 1001 is more adapted for dry ground conditions.
