%X nineteen samples os stevia natural sweeteners have been analised aiming at the controlment of the presence of other synthetic sweeteners that are not declared on the label of the product. it was evidenced that in eighteen samples, saccharin was present besides the components of stevia rebaudiana (bert.) bertoni extract and that in only one of them such fact was stated on the label. aspartame was found in three of these samples and cyclamate in one of them. finally, no component of stevia rebaudiana (bert.) bertoni extract was found in one of the samples, but a mixture of manitol and aspartame was.
