Dicapua, María de los ángeles;Perbellini, Melina;Tifni, Evangelina;
Revista Katálysis , 2009, DOI: 10.1590/S1414-49802009000200015
Abstract: this article presents the conclusions of a study conducted at two companies recovered through the formation of labor cooperatives in the greater rosario region in santa fé province, argentina. the objective was to compare the process of struggle to revive the sources of work of a group of working women or for the wives of the workers at each company studied, conforming to new models of technical and organizational operation (division of labor, forms of communication, management style, decision making processes etc). the hypotheses of labor for each case studied was the predominance of a "particular logic of operation", which derived from processes of change in the labor identities and gender of the actors involved. the research methodology was qualitative, based on the triangulation of data in the analysis process. in-depth interviews were conducted with women workers at the companies studied as well as non-participative observations at the factories.
"En defensa de la fuente de trabajo": demandas y prácticas de movilización en una empresa recuperada de Buenos Aires
Fernández álvarez,Maria Inés;
Av?? , 2007,
Abstract: discussing with conceptualizations that reduces popular sectors' social mobilizations to an answer "to hunger", recent studies adopted the idea of "struggle for recognition", developed by a. honeth. nevertheless, these arguments introduce a separation, referring, on the one hand to "survival" and to "political action", on the other. in this separation the first one is related to material conditions and the second to social recognition. from this distinction, a hierarchy is established, through it the search of sense related to political action, prevails over the "survival" idea. taking as a point of departure the results of our ethnographic research on recovered companies in buenos aires city, this article examines the way in which both dimensions appeared articulated in this "struggle for work", considering the arguments and the practices unfolded in the process of demands construction.

Abstract: this writing deals with the phenomenon of companies recovered by workers (or ert in spanish) within the context of the economic, social and political crisis that took place by the end of the '90. the attempts made at outlining the ert′s within the conceptual framework of the notions of social exclusion, third sector of economy and social economy are discussed from a criticism perspective. this is both an attempt at assessing the range of possibilities and boundaries in which workers self-management unfolds within those recovered companies and describing the processes of social innovation that are relevant for economic anthropology.
Wyczykier,Gabriela;
Polis (Santiago) , 2009, DOI: 10.4067/S0718-65682009000300011
Abstract: this paper presents a characterization of the process of working self-management that occurred in argentina from 1990 to 2006, focusing specially on ?companies recovered by workers?. the analysis employs a number of analytical dimensions that examine this process with reference to previous self-management experiences. we argue that these experiences can be studied as working re-collectivization processes, whose beginning and development is situated in scenarios in which deep processes of social, economic and political un-collectivization are occurring. these aforementioned dimensions related to the process of re-collectivization assume the exposition of arguments around the following interpretative elements: the reconstruction of a collective working space and experience, which recovered part of the wage-earning history of workers; the reconfiguration of sociability links inside the productive space; and the relation with social and union organizations which represent the interests of the workers of the recovered companies.
Fernández álvarez,María Inés; Partenio,Florencia;
Tabula Rasa , 2010,
Abstract: the recovery of companies and factories has been one of the most intriguing social mobilization experiences in recent years in argentina. the term recovered factory has been used to name a specific struggle for employment sources, in which workers combine labor and self-management. since 2002, the authors have carried out an ethnographic research on recovered factories in the buenos aires area. as they note it, these processes are mainly characterized by production becoming an action struggle, modifying both everyday life's space and time. building upon a critical perspective of gender studies, we analyze implications of these changes for women participating in recovery processes. we suggest that women's participation -considered in view of their lives' conditions and trajectories- entails developing creative skills in order to negotiate their own time face to the time they ought to devote to their families.

Olga Huertas,Ricardo Dávila,Dario Castillo
Universitas Psychologica , 2011,
Abstract: This paper presents the results of an interdisciplinary research project that explored the subjectivity’s changes of workers, in the four Colombian companies that after has an economical crisis or insolvency, was delivered to their workers to be recovered. The methodology used was the case study, reviewed documents of primary and secondary sources, in-depth interviews and focus groups. The results show that compared to this experience in all cases, workers had transformed understandings about themselves and their social relations, but only one of them saw a revaluation of its status as a worker.
Alejandro Pizzi,Ignasi Brunet
Revista de Estudios Sociales , 2012,
Abstract: Since Argentina's socio-economic crisis (2001-2002), the phenomenon of workers taking over, or recovering, bankrupt companies has spread across the country. In this article, we present findings related to strategies of collective action that favor self-management. To do so, first we develop a typology of the incentives to recover companies through collective action. Next we describe how the social movement's organization has evolved. Third, we discuss the initial strategies of economic articulation between these companies. Our hypothesis is that, so long as the social movement is politically and socially week, the predominant strategies will be market insertion by companies on an individual basis. By contrast, a greater degree of mobilization would create more favorable conditions for strategies of productive integration and of strengthening the social economy.
Discussing with conceptualizations that reduces popular sectors' social mobilizations to an answer "to hunger", recent studies adopted the idea of "struggle for recognition", developed by A.
