Abstract: The changes of some precursory observation in Shanxi area before Wenchuan Ms8.0 earthquake on May 12,2008 were analysed,and following conclutions are drawn.Firstly,the precursor waves of low frequent are main characters of the precursory change before the earthquake,and its superior period are 64-128 min.Secondly,the distribution of the abnormal points is in the same direction with the primary rupture of Wenchuan Ms8.0 earthquake.Thirdly,low-frequency precursory waves occured in a crowded time,mainly from 1...

Abstract: The amyloid precursor protein gene (APP) and its derivative peptides have important functions in the central nervous system. APP and Aβ fulfil criteria as neuractive peptides: presence, release and identity of action. Aβ is a peptide of 1 - 43 amino acids in length, derived from APP and the major component of the core of neuritic plaques found in Alzheimer’s disease. Analysis of the cDNA of Aβ revealed its origins from the larger precursor protein. There are at least four types of mRNA generated by alternative splicing of exons 7 and 8. Exon 7 encodes a 57 amino acid sequence found in the extracellular domain with major homology to the Kunitz-type of serine protease inhibitors. APP is cleaved by three secretases known as α, β, and γ secretase which act on APP at different sites producing various fragments of differing amino acid length. The γ secretase is a macromolecular enzyme complex composed of presenilin 1, 2 and other molecular constitutents essential for its function.

Abstract: In vitro studies suggest Amyloid Precursor Protein Gene (APP) is involved in interaction with the extracellular matrix, neurite growth, adhesion, development, synaptic function, platelet function, and interaction with GTP binding proteins. In vivo experiments show a role in embryonic development, response to cerebral excitotoxicity and gliosis, response to brain injury including ischaemia, hypothalamic function, locomotor function, learning and memory. In vitro observations indicate Aβ has a role in amyloid formation, excitotoxic neuronal injury, tachykinin interaction, endothelial vasoconstrictor response, calcium and oxidative stress, free radical interaction, cell membrane fluidity, apoptosis, astrocyte stimulation, and microglial interaction. Other studies suggest important roles for Aβ oligomers in synaptic function and as an antimicrobial peptide. In vivo investigations show involvement in memory function, the blood brain barrier, and tachykinin response to cerebral injury.

Abstract: A new method of applying optic fiber sensor to high accurate ground deformation measurement,which is based on the idea about the optic fiber interference combined with fiber grating and the utilization of the characteristics of Bragg wavelength absolute measurement and high accurate relative measurement with fiber interference,is proposed.This sensing system has many adventages,such as anti-interference,corrosion resistance,moisture proof,no zero drift and no need of calibration.

Abstract: 通过对沙河地震台同一观测深度上两台数字式温度计产出的连续资料进行曲线拟合、离散分析等,认为两套仪器产出的观测数据真实可靠,温度变化趋势特征一致,温度值几乎恒定地相差0.007 5℃,是井下温度变化的真实反映;并且总结出在地热前兆台站安装两套地热仪进行同层温度对比观测的具体操作方法,从而解决了实际观测中出现数据异常时不能确认是前兆异常还是仪器故障的难点。

Abstract:

To detect seismic disturbances in the lower ionosphere, we have used the signals of very-lowfrequency radio transmitters and natural radio signals—electromagnetic emission of lightning discharges—atmospherics. On earlier results of observation of atmospherics, it was obtained that the earthquake effects are displayed as weight-hourly amplitude increases on the day of event or within 3 days after them. Possible earthquake precursors are also manifested as one-day (within one to several hours) increases in the amplitude of atmospherics on average 5 - 12 days before the event. Analysis shows that seismic effects in the amplitude of atmospherics have been observed in the case of sufficiently strong (magnitude M > 4.5) and not very deep (usually no deeper than 50 km) earthquakes. The effects of the events of the earthquake with magnitude of 8.2 occurring in the Sea of Okhotsk on 24.05.13 not far from the Kamchatka Peninsula at a depth of 609 km considered in this work have shown that even deep earthquakes may have precursors in the form of disturbances in the lower ionosphere.
