Vortex Softening: Origin of the second peak effect in Bi$_2$Sr$_2$CaCu$_2$O$_{8+δ}$
V. F. Correa,G. Nieva,F. de la Cruz
Physics , 2000, DOI: 10.1103/PhysRevLett.87.057003
Abstract: Transverse ac permeability measurements in Bi$_2$Sr$_2$CaCu$_2$O$_{8+\delta }$ single crystals at low fields and temperatures in a vortex configuration free of external forces show that the decrease of the critical current as measured by magnetization loops at the second peak effect is an artifact due to creep. On the other hand, the increase of critical current at the second peak is due to a genuine softening of the tilting elastic properties of vortices in the individual pinning regime that precedes the transition to a disorder state.
Centralized formation control of non-holonomic mobile robots
Carelli,R.; de la Cruz,C.; Roberti,F.;
Latin American applied research , 2006,
Abstract: this work presents a control algorithm for a group of non-holonomic mobile robots that must attain coordinately a specific formation, which can be fixed or moving in the work space. the control error is defined in terms of location, size and shape of the constellation of points placed by the robots and the constellation of objective points. the stability analysis of the proposed control system is included along with the results from simulation and laboratory experiencies which validate the good performance of this robot formation control system.

Revista mexicana de física , 2007,
Abstract: for infinite dimensional representations of su (2) an addition theorem is found and used to obtain an analytic expression for the quantum mechanical scattering amplitude for an electrically charged particle moving in the field of a pointlike magnetic monopole.

Complex magnetic monopoles and geometric phases around diabolic and exceptional points
A. I. Nesterov,F. Aceves de la Cruz
Physics , 2006,
Abstract: We study the geometric phase (GP)in presence of diabolic (DP) and exceptional (EP) points. While the GP associated with the DP is the flux of the Dirac monopole, the GP related to the EP, being complex one, is described by the flux of complex magnetic monopole. For open systems, in week-coupling limit, the leading environment-induced contribution to the real part of complex GP is given by a quadrupole term, and to its imaginary part by a dipolelike field. We find that the GP has a finite gap at the DP and infinite one at the EP.
Magnetic State Modification Induced by Superconducting Response in Ferromagnet/Superconductor Hybrids
C. Monton,F. de la Cruz,J. Guimpel
Physics , 2007, DOI: 10.1103/PhysRevB.77.104521
Abstract: Magnetization measurements in superconductor/ferromagnet Nb/Co superlattices show a complex behavior as a function of temperature, applied field and sample history. In base to a simple model it is shown that this behavior is due to an interplay between the superconductor magnetization temperature dependence, the ferromagnet magnetization time dependence, and the stray fields of both materials. It is also shown that the magnetic state of the Co layers is modified by the Nb superconducting response, implying that the problem of a superconductor/ferromagnetic heterogeneous sample has to be solved in a self-consistent manner.
