Abstract: The oxygen relief/absorption,superconduc—tivity and structure of(Bi_(1-x)Pb_x)_2Sr_2Ca_2—Cu_3O_y compounds have been studied by TGA,electrical resistance measurement and X-raydiffraction.The amount of oxygen which can be re-leased and superconductivity of the compounds arecorrelative to Pb content.The release of oxygen in-creases when x less than 0.2 and decreases when xexceeds 0.2 with increasing x.The appropriate con-tent of Pb for superconductivity is in the range of0.1
Effect of carbon on the paramagnetic-antiferromagnetic transition and gamma ->epsilon martensitic transformation of Fe-24Mn alloys

Abstract: The effect of C content (0.014 similar to 0.39 wt pet) on the paramagnetic-antiferromagnetic transition and gamma --> epsilon martensitic transformation of Fe-24Mn alloys has been investigated by the resistivity, dilation, tensile properties measurement and microstructure examination. The results have shown that C decreases T-N, increases the thermal expansion coefficients both above and below the Tu, increases the resistivity above the TN and antiferromagnetic scattering resistivity below TN. It strongly depresses the gamma --> epsilon martensitic transformation and reduces the Ms of Fe-24Mn alloys. Moreover, it increases the lattice parameter of austenite, enhances the tensile ductility, but almost does not affect the tensile strength. With increasing C content from 0.014 to 0.19 wt pet, the yield strength of Fe-24Mn alloy decreases obviously arising from the decreasing of preexisting epsilon martensite, but it increases from 0.19 to 0.39 wt pet C due to the solution hardening of C.
FRICTION WELDING OF Zr55Al10Ni5Cu30 BULK METALLIC GLASS

Abstract: As a new kind of engineering material, the metallic glass can be used widely due to its excellent properties such as high strength, hardness and elastic energy and low corrosion resistance. The size of metallic glasses is generally small, which is the main limitation for their application. How to prepare a larger size metallic glass becomes one of main targets in metallic glasses research. To prepare larger size metallic glasses, one method is to optimize their chemical compositions, and another is to join small size metallic glasses together by welding. In this paper, the Zr55Al10Ni5Cu30 bulk metallic glass (BMG) has been successfully jointed by friction welding under the conditions of rotational speed from 4×103 to 5×103 r/min, friction pressure from 80 to 100 MPa, friction time from 0.2 to 0.4 s, upsetting pressure 200 MPa and upsetting time 2 s. The welded joint has been examined using SEM, XRD and TEM, and it is proved that the welded zone still keeps an amorphous structure. The plasticity of this metallic glass has strong temperature sensitivity near the glass transition temperature Tg. Above Tg, the metallic glass possesses a good plasticity which is necessary for friction welding of metallic glasses.

Abstract: The influences of lattice parameter of austenite, the electron concentration, the yield strength of parent phase on γ→ε emartensite start temperature Ms in the Fe-Mn alloys containing C, Al, Ge and Si have been experimentally investigated. The results show that the lattice parameter of austenite is more important than the electron concentration and the yield strength of parent phase in governing the γ→ε martensitic transformation in Fe-Mn based alloys. A relation between the Ms and lattice parameter of austenite in Fe-Mn based alloys is suggested. The elements Mn, C, Al, Ge, which increase the lattice parameter of austenite lower the Ms; while the element Si, which decreases the lattice parameter increases the Ms. The depressing effect of antiferromagnetic transition on the γ→ε martensitic transformation may be related to the increase of lattice parameter due to the positive magnetostriction during the antiferromagnetic transition.

Abstract: In this paper, we investigate the approximations of generalized Weyl fractional-order integrals in extreme value theory framework. We present three applications of our asymptotic results concerning the higher-order tail approximations of deflated risks as well as approximations of Haezendonck-Goovaerts and expectile risk measures. Illustration of the obtained results is done by various examples and some numerical analysis.
