Photoconductive Effect of Liquid and Utilization of Solar Energy  [PDF]

Experiments described in this paper show that there is the photoconductive effect of liquid, i.e. when light shines into a sort of alkali, acid or salt solution, the conductivity of the solution will increase. The mechanism of the effect is explained as follows. When hydrated ions in the solution absorb photons with their high enough energies, they will decompose to naked ions and water-molecules. The naked ions can reach an anode or a cathode more easily and faster than the hydrated ions; It is possible that when a molecule in the solution absorbs a photon with its high enough energy, it will decompose to negative and positive ions. Based on the effect, a device producing hydrogen by the solar-energy had been devised.

A Way to Realize Controlled Nuclear Fusion by γ-Laser or γ-Ray  [PDF]

Abstract: A way is proposed to realize controllable-nuclear fusion by γ-laser or γ-ray and ordinary laser with their certain frequencies and large enough intensities to irradiate a target ball. The function of ordinary laser is to heat the target nuclei and to realize the inertial confinement for the target nuclei. The target nuclei absorbing γ-photons will be in a certain excited state. The scattering cross-sections will be larger and the ignition temperature will be lower to realize fusion of the nuclei in their excited states than those of the nuclei in their ground states. In contrast with the nuclei applied in conventional fusion, e.g., deutons and tritons, according to the way, the nuclei applied to fusion should have the following characters: the nuclei have their excited states, one of the excited states has higher energy and longer lifetime, and the masses of the nuclei are lesser. Thus, the Lawson conditions can more easily be realized so that the controllable nuclear fusion is possibly realized by the way.
Other Comprehensive Income, Auditor Practice Experience and Audit Pricing  [PDF]

Abstract: The audit pricing problem has always been the focus of academic research. Based on the relevant research of scholars at home and abroad, based on the audit demand theory and the high-level echelon theory, this paper selects the data of A-share listed companies in Shanghai and Shenzhen from 2011 to 2017 as the research sample, and deeply analyzes the relationship among other comprehensive income, auditor practice experience and audit pricing. The study found that: 1) When other conditions remain unchanged, other comprehensive income is positively correlated with audit pricing, and the risk brought by other comprehensive income and the increase of audit cost make auditors need corresponding compensation. 2) When other conditions remain unchanged, other comprehensive income is positively correlated with audit pricing. Auditors with rich experience in providing audit services can make audit clients feel higher audit quality and obtain audit premium. 3) When other conditions remain unchanged, the auditor’s practice experience will weaken the positive correlation between other comprehensive income and audit pricing. The experienced auditors are more accurate in interpreting and judging other comprehensive income information, so the risk assessment will also become more reasonable and targeted to carry out further audit procedures, so that the positive relationship between other comprehensive income and audit pricing is weakened to some extent. This research further enriches the relevant theoretical research on audit pricing and provides relevant research basis for audit practice.
Bio-Organism Damage under the Influence of Microwave Heating  [PDF]

Abstract: In this paper, we setup a simple model to understand the damage of bio-organism under the influence of microwave heating based on the bio-heat transfer equation and Arrhenius equation. Detailed information of temperature distribution and fraction of damage is presented. Results show that microwave heating is effective in the damage of bio-organism.
Open Charm Production and its Lepton Pair Signal in High Energy Nuclear Collisions

Abstract: Open charm production at the initial and the pre-equilibrium stages in nuclear collisions is studied. The pre-equilibrium contribution to open charm production in $A+A$ collisions at $\sqrt s=200 AGeV$ is shown to be very sensitive to correlations between momenta and space-time coordinates of the minijets produced after the initial collision. A minimal correlation model based on the uncertainty principle is introduced, and leads only to a small pre-equilibrium charm yield as compared with initial yields. Opposite-sign lepton pairs $ee, e\mu$ and $\mu\mu$ from open charm decay in $p+A$ reactions at $\sqrt s=200$ AGeV are proposed as a measure of nuclear shadowing effects. Via an approximate scaling, the ratio of the spectra from $p+A$ collisions to those from $pp$ collisions is shown to reflect the shadowing function well. Finally it is shown that the required measurements are feasible at RHIC.

Abstract: Starting from the two levels of educational concept and content, this paper studies the generation, change, basic characteristics and development trend of American university liberal education and general education in recent years. Since the 17th century, the development of liberal education and general education has roughly presented four different stages of development. Since the 1990s, although there are still differences between liberal education and general education in terms of concept and curriculum, there are more and more commonalities between them than before World War II, and the integration with professional education is gradually strengthened. Absorbing practical and practical content, laying more emphasis on imparting basic knowledge and basic abilities, serving professional education, constitutes an important part of undergraduate education in the United States. This paper discusses the timeline of general education and liberal education in the United States, mainly including its emergence, development and improvement, and explores the similarities and differences between liberal education and general education. Finally, it summarizes and puts forward enlightenment.

Abstract: Britain is an exporter of education. It is committed to helping poor developing countries improve the backward education situation. It has achieved remarkable results in infrastructure construction, material supply and personnel training. At present, the development of education aid in Britain has entered a new five-year planning period, and the direction of aid has changed accordingly. It has increased the support for girls’ education, improved the effectiveness of education aid funds, and strengthened the management mode of aid cooperation. Starting with the development of educational aid in Britain, this study analyzed the effectiveness and problems of educational aid, and prospected the development trend of educational aid in Britain from the aspects of aid quality, international cooperation, policy adjustment and girls’ education.

Abstract: 为了评估山东省水泥行业的CO2减排潜力,利用长期能源替代规划系统软件建立了LEAP-Shandong Cement模型,对山东省水泥行业的CO2排放量及相应的减排潜力进行了模拟评估.同时,在模型中运用情景分析方法,研究了基准情景、政策情景和技术情景下山东水泥行业2007~2020年的能源需求和CO2排放量以及相应的节能减排潜力.结果表明,到2020年,相对于基准情景,政策情景和技术情景下的减排潜力分别为8.5%和14.4%.因此,山东省水泥行业具有一定的减排潜力.实现减排主要依靠窑型的替代和相应技术的进步,其中,余热发电技术改进为近期的重点减排技术.总体而言,水泥行业减排兼具显著的环境、经济和社会效益.
Multispectral imaging using a single bucket detector

Abstract: Current multispectral imagers suffer from low photon efficiency and limited spectrum range. These limitations are partially due to the technological limitations from array sensors (CCD or CMOS), and also caused by separative measurement of the entries/slices of a spatial-spectral data cube. Besides, they are mostly expensive and bulky. To address above issues, this paper proposes to image the 3D multispectral data with a single bucket detector in a multiplexing way. Under the single pixel imaging scheme, we project spatial-spectral modulated illumination onto the target scene to encode the scene's 3D information into a 1D measurement sequence. Conventional spatial modulation is used to resolve the scene's spatial information. To avoid increasing requisite acquisition time for 2D to 3D extension of the latent data, we conduct spectral modulation in a frequency-division multiplexing manner in the speed gap between slow spatial light modulation and fast detector response. Then the sequential reconstruction falls into a simple Fourier decomposition and standard compressive sensing problem. A proof-of-concept setup is built to capture the multispectral data (64 pixels $\times$ 64 pixels $\times$ 10 wavelength bands) in the visible wavelength range (450nm-650nm) with acquisition time being 1 minute. The imaging scheme is of high flexibility for different spectrum ranges and resolutions. It holds great potentials for various low light and airborne applications, and can be easily manufactured production-volume portable multispectral imagers.
Semantic Image Segmentation via Deep Parsing Network

Abstract: This paper addresses semantic image segmentation by incorporating rich information into Markov Random Field (MRF), including high-order relations and mixture of label contexts. Unlike previous works that optimized MRFs using iterative algorithm, we solve MRF by proposing a Convolutional Neural Network (CNN), namely Deep Parsing Network (DPN), which enables deterministic end-to-end computation in a single forward pass. Specifically, DPN extends a contemporary CNN architecture to model unary terms and additional layers are carefully devised to approximate the mean field algorithm (MF) for pairwise terms. It has several appealing properties. First, different from the recent works that combined CNN and MRF, where many iterations of MF were required for each training image during back-propagation, DPN is able to achieve high performance by approximating one iteration of MF. Second, DPN represents various types of pairwise terms, making many existing works as its special cases. Third, DPN makes MF easier to be parallelized and speeded up in Graphical Processing Unit (GPU). DPN is thoroughly evaluated on the PASCAL VOC 2012 dataset, where a single DPN model yields a new state-of-the-art segmentation accuracy.
