Mathematical Reasoning of Economic Intervening Principle Based on “Yin Yang Wu Xing” Theory in Traditional Chinese Economics (I)  [PDF]

By using mathematical reasoning, this paper demonstrates the economic intervening principle: “Virtual disease is to fill his mother but real disease is to rush down his son” and “ Strong inhibition of the same time, support the weak” based on “Yin Yang Wu Xing” Theory in Traditional Chinese Economics (TCE). We defined generalized relations and generalized reasoning, introduced the concept of steady multilateral systems with two non-compatibility relations, and discussed its energy properties. Later based on the intervening principle of TCE and treated the economic society as a steady multilateral system, it has been proved that the intervening principle above is true. The kernel of this paper is the existence and reasoning of the non-compatibility relations in steady multilateral systems, and it accords with the oriental thinking model.

In this paper, we discuss the average errors of function approximation by linear combinations of Bernstein operators. The strongly asymptotic orders for the average errors of the combinations of Bernstein operators sequence are determined on the Wiener space.

Abstract: The topology control is one of the research focuses in wireless sensor networks. Different network topologies will have different effects on the properties of the network, such as the reliability, energy consumption and latency. In order to study the relationship between the topology and the network performance, in this paper we have designed three kinds of topology models which are regular hexagon topology model, plane grid topology model and equilateral triangle topology model. Then the simulation experiments about these models have been implemented in NS2 and the simulation results show that the plane grid topology has the best reliability.

Abstract: The method to determine the activity in slags by means of the slag-metal equilibria was discussed. Determining the activity of CaO in the CaO-SiO2-Al2O3, CaO-SiO2-MgO and CaO-B2O3 systems was used as some examples. The correct selecting the test temperature and having enough time for equilibria are key factors for successful determination. Previous preparation of suitable related alloys and mother slags is necessary to test.

Abstract: This paper links the multipath smart antenna CDMA system signal detection problem to the PARAllel profiles with LINear Dependencies (PARALIND), and derives a deterministic blind PARALIND algorithm whose performance is very close to nonblind space-time minimum mean square error (ST-MMSE) method. The blind PARALIND algorithm has the better performance than spacetime matched filter. The proposed PARALIND algorithm also works well in array error condition. Most notably, it does not require knowledge of the DOA (Direction Of Arrival) and channel fading information.
Wavelet Packet Transform-Based Least Mean Square Beamformer with Low Complexity

Abstract: A low complexity wavelet packet transform-based least mean square (LMS) adaptive beamformer is presented in this paper. This beamformer uses wavelet packet transform as the preprocessing, reduces the signal dimension in wavelet packet domain for low complexity and denoising, and employs least mean square algorithm to implement adaptive beamformer. Theoretical analysis and simulations demonstrate that this algorithm with better beamforming performance converges faster than the conventional adaptive beamformer and the wavelet transform-based beamformer. Finally, our proposed algorithm has the low complexity, and it can be easy to implement.
Anti-Aging Effect of Adipose-Derived Stem Cells in a Mouse Model of Skin Aging Induced by D-Galactose

Abstract: Introduction Glycation products accumulate during aging of slowly renewing tissue, including skin, and are suggested as an important mechanism underlying the skin aging process. Adipose-derived cells are widely used in the clinic to treat ischemic diseases and enhance wound healing. Interestingly, adipose-derived stem cells (ASCs) are also effective in anti-aging therapy, although the mechanism underlying their effects remains unknown. The purpose of the present study was to examine the anti-aging effect of ASCs in a D-galactose-induced aging animal model and to clarify the underlying mechanism. Materials and Methods Six-week-old nude mice were subcutaneously injected with D-gal daily for 8 weeks. Two weeks after completion of treatment, mice were randomized to receive subcutaneous injections of 106 green fluorescent protein (GFP)-expressing ASCs, aminoguanidine (AG) or phosphate-buffered saline (PBS). Control mice received no treatment. We examined tissue histology and determined the activity of senescence-associated molecular markers such as superoxide dismutase (SOD) and malondialdehyde (MDA). Results Transplanted ASCs were detectable for 14 days and their GFP signal disappeared at day 28 after injection. ASCs inhibited advanced glycation end product (AGE) levels in our animal model as well as increased the SOD level and decreased the MDA level, all of which act to reverse the aging phenotype in a similar way to AG, an inhibitor of AGE formation. Furthermore, ASCs released angiogenic factors in vivo such as vascular endothelial growth factor, suggesting a skin trophic effect. Conclusions These results demonstrate that ASCs may contribute to the regeneration of skin during aging. In addition, the data shows that ASCs provide a functional benefit by glycation suppression, antioxidation, and trophic effects in a mouse model of aging.
Critical behaviors and universality classes of percolation phase transitions on two-dimensional square lattice

Abstract: We have investigated both site and bond percolation on two dimensional lattice under the random rule and the product rule respectively. With the random rule, sites or bonds are added randomly into the lattice. From two candidates picked randomly, the site or bond with the smaller size product of two connected clusters is added when the product rule is taken. Not only the size of the largest cluster but also its size jump are studied to characterize the universality class of percolation. The finite-size scaling forms of giant cluster size and size jump are proposed and used to determine the critical exponents of percolation from Monte Carlo data. It is found that the critical exponents of both size and size jump in random site percolation are equal to that in random bond percolation. With the random rule, site and bond percolation belong to the same universality class. We obtain the critical exponents of the site percolation under the product rule, which are different from that of both random percolation and the bond percolation under the product rule. The universality class of site percolation differs different from that of bond percolation when the product rule is used.

Abstract: The top quark physics has entered the precision era. The CDF and D0 collaborations are finalizing their legacy results of the properties of the top quark after the shutdown of the Fermilab Tevatron three years ago. The ATLAS and CMS collaborations have been publishing results from the LHC Run I with 7 TeV and 8 TeV proton-proton collisions, with many more forthcoming. We present a selection of recent results produced by the Tevatron and LHC experiments.
