EFFECTS OF CONCENTRATION AND AVERAGE VALENCE OF TITANIUM SUBCHLORIDES ON THE ELECTRO-CRYSTALLIZATION OF TITANIUM

Abstract: The effects of concentration and average valence of titanium subchlorides onthe electrocrystallization of titanium in a NaCl-KCl melt have been investigated.When the Ti ion concentration was about 2% and the average valence was nothigher than 2.4, the crystals obtained were coarse. A possible explanation of thisphenomenon is as follows: In NaCl-KCl melts, complex ions of Ti will form, andchemically, the Ti~(2+) complex ions are less stable as compared to the Ti~(3+) complexions. This will lead to comparatively small overpotential in electrodeposition. There-fore, lower average valence is conductive to the formation of rather coarsercrystals. With a view to improving the current efficiency and the quality of Tiin the electrolysis of TiCl_4 by basket cathode, measures which can raise theconcentration of titanium subchlorides as well as lower the average valence, suchas adding Ti to the gas-melt interface in the basket should be adopted.

Abstract: The electrochemical alloying of Y-Cu system in molten NaCl-KCl-YCl_3 has been investigated. The free energy changes of the formation reactions ofthe intermetallic compounds, including YCu_6, YCu_4, YCu_2, YCu(973--1103K), weredetermined by means of electrode potential-time curves of the working electrodeafter potentiostatic electrolysis. The results indicate that the potential-time methodis simple and reliable.

Abstract: The cyclic voltammetry,electrode potential-time curve after potentiostatic electrolysis,potential-step method and X-ray diffraction were used to study the electrode processof Pr(Ⅲ)reduced on Ni electrode in molten NaCl-KCl-PrCl_3.The PrNi_5 formsat first and then the intermetallic compounds of Pr-Ni containing more Pr form insequence.The metallic Pr deposits at last.The standard free energies of formationfor PrNi_5 determined are-123.6,-118.9 and-114.4 kJ mol~(-1) at 1023,1073 and 1123K respectively.The diffusion coefficient of Pr into PrNi_5 phase determined is 3×10~(-11)cm~2 s~(-1) at 1073 K.

Abstract: The snap-action behavior of a Ni-Ti alloy disc which is controlled by combination of anonlinear stress field and temperature has been studied.After treatment for two-way shapememory,all shape memory strain of snap-action finishes abruptly at a certain temperaturewithin an interval of less than 1 ms.The results of resistance measurement and in-situ X-raydiffraction indicate that the snap-action strain is mainly resulted from the snap-action β R transformation.

Abstract: The snap-acting transition and two way shape memory (TWSM) effect have been obtainedin a TWSM spring made of Ni51Ti49 alloy using the constrained effect of stress on drivingforce of TWSM material.When the snap-acting transition has been realized:M_s= M_f andA_s=A_f;hysteresis is rectangular,the height (TWSM effect) and width (hysteresis) of therectangle can be readjusted by means of constrained stress.The results of resistancemeasurments show that,the snap-acting TWSM effect mentioned above was supplied mainlyfrom the transformation of P←→R.The thermodynamic model has also been proposed to ac-count for the snap-acting transformation.

Abstract: 物体含突变部分时,包裹相位很难准确恢复,若用双频光栅技术分两次测量,测量次数增加,不符合实时要求,提出用软件方法生成含两种不同频率的复合光栅,用液晶投影仪投影,针对不同物体突变情形,生成各种不同灵敏度的复合光栅,只一次采集,就达到过去双频多次采集的效果,两幅不同灵敏度的相位图可同时获取,相位去包裹时高精度光栅相位不确定性由粗光栅对应相位修正,最后,进行了实验测试,结果表明,新方法具有速度快、精度高、测试范围广等特点。

Abstract: 选取关键点轨迹的方向-大小描述符、轨迹形状描述符、外观描述符作为人体行为的特征;为了降低人体行为特征维数,利用信息瓶颈算法进行词表压缩;利用生成模型,结合已标记样本和未标记样本提出一种人体行为识别的半监督学习方法,解决了行为识别中的小样本问题。在YouTube 数据库、 中佛罗里达大学运动数据库上利用提出的方法与已有的方法进行对比实验,结果表明该方法具有更高的识别精度。
A novel method based on generative model was proposed for human behavior recognition. The behavior was represented by using a set of descriptors computed from key point trajectories, which included the orientation magnitude descriptor, the trajectory shape descriptor and the appearance descriptor. In order to reduce feature dimensions, the agglomerative information bottleneck approach was used for vocabulary compression. The semi-supervised learning method for behavior recognition based on generative model was proposed to solve the problem of small sample in recognition, which made use of both the labeled and unlabeled samples. Compared with other state-of-the-art methods in both UCF sports database and YouTube database, results show that the proposed method has higher recognition accuracy.

Abstract: The martensitic transformation in Fe-Cr-W-V-C alloy has been investigated by TEM.The habit plane of martensite is near (252)_f, the austenite/martensite orientation relationship is Kurdjumov-Sachs'.In the martensite plates there are twins on (112) 1]_b,dislocation tangles and the lattice defects on (011)_b plane.In the austenite near the growing martensite plates,the dislocations with high density and stacking faults can be observed. The substructure of martensite may probably be the result of accommodation deformation during martensitic transformations.
