In this paper, the author analyzes characteristics and extracting method of interference signal of the distributed optical fiber sensing. In the distributed optical fiber sensing, realizing alarm and positioning function only through the cross-correlation operation will increase the load of the system, can make misinformation rate of the system be improved greatly. Therefore, before the localization algorithm, adding a interference signal feature recognition is very necessary, can reduce unnecessary operation loss and reduce the load of the system, also reducing the number of the false positives.

Numerical 2D simulation and research on internal flow field and external flow field of rocket motor nozzle using FLUENT software. Analyze the flow condition of internal flow field and external flow field, and according to add in the amount of the different gas components, obtain the clear distribution of contour of density flow field, pressure flow field and various material components and so on. Simulation results agree with the results observed from the test on the ground, and provide reference for solid rocket motor development.

Abstract: This paper focused on the folding damage behavior of the space rigidizable materials in terms of 3-layer composite membranes. An experimental scheme was presented. The composite membranes were folded between the two plates for a short time, and then the unfolded composite membranes were compressively cured in an oven. By adjusting the displacement of one plate, the folding radius was changed. As expected, the strength and effective modulus of the cured composite membranes drop with decreasing the folding radius. When the strain controlled failure rule is applied to the composite membranes, a minimal folding radius can be reached, beyond which the membranes will keep intact. Furthermore, folding damage due to folding and unfolding processes was evaluated by a simplified model. Compared with the measured residual strength and effective modulus, calculated results have the same trend. A discrepancy is attributed to neglecting the effects of the transverse fibers and the matrix.

Abstract: The effect of ultrasonic waves on the mechanical properties of metal materials in investigated experimentally and theoretically. A new test system is developed. The tests on purple copper and low carbon steel specimens show that such material parameters as yielding stress, stiffening rate and elongation rate are all reduced due to the action of ultrasonic waves. The constitutive equations for metal materials under the action of ultrasonic waves are supposedly presented on the basis of theoretical analysis and test data.

Abstract: The space inflatable structure is a new construction technology and is the main demanding object in the future space activities. The inflatable structure is mainly made up of membrane; therefore, the maintenance of the structural surface accuracy is one of the most important problems. Wrinkling is the unique characteristic of the flexible membranes, and the wrinkles degrade the surface accuracy and the structural performance, so, the study on wrinkles in membrane structures is desirable and essential. In this paper, a prediction model of wrinkles is proposed, based on the buckling theory, and the wrinkles, including the wrinkle amplitude, wrinkle wavelength and the critical compressive stress, in a rectangular membrane subjected to in-plane horizontal shearing loads are predicted using the method proposed in the present paper. The predicted results show good agreement with our recent experiments and the reported data.
Impact of Vitamin D on Chronic Kidney Diseases in Non-Dialysis Patients: A Meta-Analysis of Randomized Controlled Trials

Abstract: Background and Objectives Recent studies have supported a role for both newer and more established vitamin D compounds in improving proteinuria, although systematic evaluation is lacking. Furthermore, concerns remain regarding the influence of vitamin D on the progression of renal function. We analyzed the efficacy and safety of vitamin D in non-dialysis patients and compared the use of newer versus established vitamin D compounds by performing a meta-analysis of randomized controlled trials. Design A literature search of PubMed (1975 to September, 2012), EMBASE.com (1966 to September, 2012) and Ovid EBM Reviews (through September, 2012) was conducted. Results Eighteen studies were eligible for final inclusion; of these, six explored the effects of vitamin D on proteinuria, twelve studied the effects of supplementation on renal function, and fifteen discussed the incidence of hypercalcemia. Compared to the placebo or no interference, both the newer and established vitamin D sterols reduced proteinuria to a similar extent (RR, 2.00; 95% CI, 1.42 to 2.81). No decrease in the glomerular filter rate was observed (SMD, ?0.10; 95%CI, ?0.24 to 0.03), and the risk for dialysis initiation was 1.48 (95% CI, 0.54 to 4.03) with vitamin D treatment. Additionally, there was an increased risk of hypercalcemia for patients treated with either newer or established vitamin D compounds as compared with the controls (RR, 4.78; 95% CI, 2.20 to 10.37). The head-to-head studies showed no differences in the effects of either newer or established compounds on proteinuria or the risk of hypercalcemia. No serious adverse events were associated with the administration of vitamin D. Conclusions Vitamin D therapy appears to decrease proteinuria and have no negative influence on renal function in non-dialysis patients. But the occurrence of hypercalcemia should be evaluated when vitamin D is provided. No superiority for newer versus established vitamin D analogue is found.
Chronic Toxicity Study in Rats Orally Exposed to Mulberry Sea-Buckthorn Beverage Concentrate  [PDF]

Objective: This study is designed to observe the chronic toxicity after the administration of mulberry sea-buckthorn beverage concentrate for 3 months on rats and to predict the possible adverse effect and the potential toxicity target organs. Method: The rats (SPF level) were randomly divided into high-dose (20 mL/kg BW), middle-dose (10 mL/kg BW), low-dose (5 mL/kg BW) groups and negative control group (20 mL/kg BW of purified water) with 30 rats in each group. Each group was orally given mulberry sea-buckthorn beverage concentrate for 3 months and recovered by stop feeding samples for 2 weeks for a recovery observation. The rats’ general condition, the organ coefficient, the indexes of hematology and blood biochemistry and the histological changes of the main organs were determined. Result: The appearance and behavior of activity in rats showed no anomalies in all these groups and all the rats put on weight during this period. Comparing to the negative control group, no obvious differences were observed in the weekly weight and organ coefficient of each dose group. After 3 months of administration, HGB in both mulberry sea-buckthorn beverage concentrate low-dose group and high-dose group were increased. No significant differences were observed in the indexes of hematology after 2 weeks of recovery. CREA in low-dose, middle-dose and high-dose groups were significantly increased after 3 months of administration and it remained in the high level in middle-dose and high-dose group even after 2 weeks of recovery. No drug-related lesions were observed in the histological changes of major organs. Conclusion: The results show that long term use of mulberry concentrated sea-buckthorn beverage can lead to increased CREA, which suggested kidney toxicity. Although no obvious pathological change was found in kidney, we should pay attention to chronic kidney damage in the further research.
