An Efficient Method to Reduce the Numerical Dispersion in the HIE-FDTD Scheme  [PDF]

Abstract: A parameter optimized approach for reducing the numerical dispersion of the 3-D hybrid implicit-explicit finite-difference time-domain (HIE-FDTD) is presented in this letter. By adding a parameter into the HIE-FDTD formulas, the error of the numerical phase velocity can be controlled, causing the numerical dispersion to decrease significantly. The numerical stability and dispersion relation are presented analytically, and numerical experiments are given to substantiate the proposed method.
Fabrication of Poly(Aspartic Acid)-Nanogold Modified Electrode and Its Application for Simultaneous Determination of Dopamine, Ascorbic Acid, and Uric Acid  [PDF]

Abstract: A nanostructured polymer film incorporated gold nanoparticles modified electrode was fabricated. The fabrication process involved a previous electropolymerization of aspartic acid and followed by the eletrodeposition of gold nano-particles on the glassy carbon electrode. The resulting poly (aspartic acid)-nanogold modified electrode (PAA- nano-Au/GCE) was characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and electrochemical impedance spectros-copy (EIS). A higher catalytic activity was obtained to electrocatalytic oxidation of dopamine (DA), ascorbic acid (AA) and uric acid (UA) due to the enhanced peak current and well-defined peak separations compared with three, bare GCE, PAA/GCE and nano-Au/GCE. Simultaneous determination of DA, AA, and UA were studied by voltammetry. The linear range of 5.0 × 10-7 - 1.0 × 10-4 M for DA, 5.0 × 10-6 - 2.0 × 10-3 M for AA and 5.0 × 10-6 - 1.0 × 10-3 M for UA was obtained. The detection limit was calculated for DA, AA and UA as being 6.5 × 10-8 M, 5.6 × 10-7 M and 3.0 × 10-7 M, respectively (S/N = 3). The practical application of the present modified electrode was demonstrated by the determination of DA, AA and UA in calf serum and fetal calf serum samples.

Abstract: He's variational method for finding limit cycles is applied to the Brusselator. The technique developed in this paper is similar to Kantorovitch's method in variational theory. The present theory can be applied not only to weakly nonlinear equations, but also to strongly ones, and the obtained results are valid for the whole solution domain.

Abstract: The low-carbon economy based on "low energy consumption, low pollution, and low-emissions" has become the world's emerging economic development model; the select of "low-carbon lifestyle, low-carbon consumption" has become a fashionable topic of the moment, and looking for low-carbon economic opportunities is becoming new thinking of entrepreneurs, low-carbon property will become the new engine of real estate development. This article based on "4Ps" theory as the research framework and combined real estate green marketing with low-carbon economy, explored the real estate portfolio of green marketing strategies, such as green residential development, green brand, green pricing and green promotion and so on. Abstract: Despite the criticisms of lobbyists as a parasitical growth on the business of government, exploiting public ignorance or reticence about the best ways to make approaches and put particular cases to political agenda, with the changes in policy advocacy environment, lobbyists have now gained wide acceptance in Australia as a legitimate and necessary channel of communication between the executive government and the community. While organized special interests are not new in Australian politics, the last decades of the 20th century has witnessed dramatic changes in the lobbying industry in several important aspects, including the emergence of single-issue groups, the shift to research-based lobbying and the changes in lobbying strategies. This paper argues that the most extraordinary change in Australian lobbying industry seems to be that lobbying has moved from the corridors and backrooms of the Parliament to become a 'public affair'.

Abstract: “The trinity” is that NITI focuses on the universal, critical and forward-looking technology which is from enterprises in Nantong, and uses the strategic, service, and benefit synergy, to integrate the research of scientific institutes, the incubation of incubators, and industrialization of industry bases to be an organic entirety which produces collaborative innovation. It is a science and technology innovation chain. The case proves that the scientific and technological transfer efficiency of “the Trinity” is higher than others, and has both social and economic benefits. To a certain extent, it is “1 + 1 + 1 > 3”. At present, China’s scientific and technological innovation has not been widely into fast development. On the back of the local strong financial strength and in the intention of enhancing the level of local science and technology innovation, “the Trinity” is a kind of convenient form.
Estimating the Effect of Carbon Tax on CO2 Emissions of Coal in China  [PDF]

Abstract: Using the co-integration model and the VAR model, this article estimates the effect of carbon taxes on CO2 emissions of coal in 2020. The estimation for the long-run price elasticity of coal in China is –0.34, which shows more elasticity than those of previous studies. The main reason lies in the fact that none of the previous studies considered the structural breaks of Chinese energy consumption in 2006. The levy of 100RMB, 150RMB and 200RMB on per ton of standard coal from 2012 in China will decrease the consumption of coal by 4.88%, 7.31% and 9.75% respectively in 2020, which will further lead to the decrease of CO2 emissions in 2020 by 8.69%, 13.02% and 17.36% respectively. This observation implies that the use of carbon tax scheme is one of the most practical policies that can mitigate the challenge of climate change. However, the implementation measures should be deliberately designed in such a way that making heavy impact on economic development of China is avoided.
