Average Consensus in Networks of Multi-Agent with Multiple Time-Varying Delays  [PDF]

Abstract: The average consensus in undirected networks of multi-agent with both fixed and switching topology coupling multiple time-varying delays is studied. By using orthogonal transformation techniques, the original system can be turned into a reduced dimensional system and then LMI-based method can be applied conveniently. Convergence analysis is conducted by constructing Lyapunov-Krasovskii function. Sufficient conditions on average consensus problem with multiple time-varying delays in undirected networks are obtained via linear matrix inequality (LMI) techniques. In particular, the maximal admissible upper bound of time-varying delays can be easily obtained by solving several simple and feasible LMIs. Finally, simulation examples are given to demonstrate the effectiveness of the theoretical results.

Abstract: The influencing factors on Web 3D User Experience are studied for online pavilion of Shanghai World Expo with grounded theory method. We discover the four influencing factors as follow: web site quality, external environmental factor, user internal factor and recommendation, and the influencing factor model of Web 3D user experience is tried to established. We also do case study for the online Guangdong pavilion of Shanghai World Expo in order improve the process to transfer original wonderful, innovative ideas into Web 3D more perfective. Finally, the areas needing further investigation are put forward.

Integrated Project Management Maturity proposed a new concept. It is “Project Conflict Management Maturity”. It established a new concept of maturity level, established an evaluation index system on Project Conflict Management Maturity and used the multi-level fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method combined with the Project Management Maturity model to construct the maturity model of Project Conflict Management. Then, through numerical examples, it evaluated the score of object, got the maturity level of conflict management of the study project, verified the feasibility of the model for solving Project Conflict Management, provided some bases for solving problems of Project Conflict Management and had a certain practical significance about this problem.

Abstract: Nowadays, postmodern tourism has gradually became a trend, which triggers some new changes to tourism format, while postmodernism on the anti-rationality inevitably brings great challenge to tourism behavior forms and tourism ethics. Through analysis on the inner relationship between tourism, postmodernism and reason, the paper reveals the value pursuit of postmodern tourist behavior, and points out the coherence between the reason ultimate pursuit and the tourism spirit pursuit, and in some sense, tourism performs the role of one way that modern people’s longing to real reason and the subjective world’s maturity. In the end, the paper emphasizes that being faced with the explicitness of postmodernism drawbacks in tourism, no doubt need reason, especially Neo-Rationalism to direct tourism ethics and tourism civilization, which eventually be conducive to the true, the good and beauty of social system.

Abstract: We have investigated the field-induced-changes in both the magnetization and the polarization in ferromagnet/Insulator/ferroelectric (FM/I/FE) multilayer by following both the Stoner-Wohlfarth (SW) model and the Landau theory. It has been found that with the stresses introduced in the FM/I/FE structure by the fields, both the magnetization and the polarization states can be significantly modified and the combination of their states can be of multiple states. These results demonstrate the feasibility of combining both the spintronics and the ferroelectrics into the multiferroictronics.
Polarization rotation theory for field-induced-phase transitions in BaTiO3 single crystal

Abstract: We have proposed the polarization rotation theory to understand the underlying physics of the large piezoelectric effect in ferroelectric crystals by referring to the coherent rotation model in ferromagnetism. When both the electric field energy and crystalline anisotropy energy are taken into account, the polarization in BaTiO3 crystal can be rotated toward the field direction. The numerical results have indicated the highly anisotropic polarization rotations and the field-induced-phases with different symmetries in the crystal. This theory is helpful for understanding the polarization reversal and the electromechanical effect in ferroelectric materials.
A Theory for Diffusionless Structural Phase Transitions in BaTiO3 and PZT Single Crystals

Abstract: A phenomenological theory has been proposed for the diffusionless structural phase transitions in crystalline solids here. It has been found that for BaTiO3 single crystal, both the phase transitions and the crystal structures can be predicted with the crystalline anisotropy constants and order parameter dependent strain constants that depend on the temperature. The results have also shown that the morphotropic phase boundaries in PZT crystals arise from the crystalline anisotropy.
The restricted strong convexity revisited: Analysis of equivalence to error bound and quadratic growth

Abstract: The restricted strong convexity is an e?ective tool for deriving globally linear convergence rates of descent methods in convex minimization. Recently, the global error bound and the quadratic growth properties appeared as new competitors. In this paper, with the help of Ekeland's variational principle, we show the equivalence among these three notations. To deal with convex minimization over a polyhedral set, we propose a group of modi?ed versions of these three notations by using the concept of gradient mapping. The equivalence among the modi?ed versions can be well kept if the polyhedral set is an a?ne set. Finally, we revisit the problem of minimizing the composition of an a?ne mapping with a strongly convex di?erentiable function over a polyhedral set, which is very popular in machine learning. We show that this problem satis?es strengthened properties under weaker assumptions than that in previous theory.
On robust width property for Lasso and Dantzig selector

Abstract: Recently, Jameson Cahill and Dustin G. Mixon completely characterize the sensing operators in many compressed sensing instances with a robust width property. The introduced property allows uniformly stable and robust reconstruction via convex optimization. However, their theory does not cover the Lasso and the Dantzig selector models, both of which are popular alternatives in statistics community. In this note, we discover that the robust width property can be perfectly applied to these two models as well. Our main results definitely solve the open problem left by Jameson Cahill and Dustin G. Mixon.
