Approach to Transforming MARTS Sequence Diagram to TTS4SD Models

Abstract: The sequence diagram was extended in the MARTE specification for modeling purpose, but it can not be used in the correctness verification stage. The OMG proposes to solve this problem by model transformation techniques; the model A is transformed to a formal model B which is equipped with efficient analysis or verification tools. ho describe the semantics of A by model B can guarantee the bi-simulation relation between them. A model named timed transition system for sequence diagram(TTS4SD)was proposed. At first,we offered the formal syntax of the sectuence diagram and the TTS4SD,then we described the semantics of the sequence diagram by I hS4SD. Taking the semantics as basis,the checking work was carried out on the TTS4SD.An example was given to describe the above process.

Abstract: 用密度泛函理论方法,采用超晶胞模型,计算了Al(001)、Al(110)、Al(111)面的表面能.计算表明,Al(001)面的表面能为0.87eV,Al(110)面为1.07eV,Al(111)面为0.76eV.分析了表面能差异与表面电荷平均面密度的关系,表面原子层和次表面原子层的电荷面密度在s,p轨道上重新分布.表面原子层电荷密度越大,表面能越低.计算结果与已有的实验和计算值比较吻合.
A Redox-Sensitive Luciferase Assay for Determining the Localization and Topology of Endoplasmic Reticulum Proteins

Abstract: Correct localization and transmembrane topology are crucial for the proteins residing and functioning in the endoplasmic reticulum (ER). We have developed a rapid and convenient assay, based on the redox-sensitive luciferase from Gaussia princeps (Gluc) and green fluorescence protein (GFP), to determine the localization or topology of ER proteins. Using the tandem Gluc-GFP reporter fused to different positions of a target protein, we successfully characterized the topologies of two ER transmembrane proteins Herp and HRD1 that are involved in the ER quality control system. This assay method may also be applicable to the proteins in secretory pathway, plasma membrane, and other compartments of cells.
Time limit of apneic anesthesia with intermittent ventilation applied in endotracheal papilloma removal in childhood patients

Abstract: Objective To evaluate the safety of apneic anesthesia with intermittent ventilation(AAIV) employed in endotracheal papilloma removal in childhood patients,and explore the gateway of prolonging the apneic duration,so as to facilitate the endotracheal surgical procedure as safe as possible.Methods Twenty-two children,aged 2-10 years,suffering from endotracheal papilloma without severe heart and lung diseases,were enrolled.After over-ventilation with 100% oxygen,ventilation was stopped by pulling out the endotracheal tube.The time intervals of saturated pulse oxygen(SpO2) declining from 100% down to 95%,90% and 85% were recorded.Heart rate(HR),arterial oxygen pressure(PaO2) and arterial carbon dioxide pressure(PaCO2) were also recorded when SpO2 reached 90%,85% and 80%.Results The time intervals of SpO2 decline from 100% down to 95%,90% and 85% were 202±50s,224±55s and 240±59s,respectively.When SpO2 reached 95%,90% and 85%,the PaO2 was 86±12mmHg,62±12mmHg and 57±11mmHg respectively,while PaCO2 was 56±12mmHg,70±11mmHg and 83±16mmHg respectively.Conclusions Apneic anesthesia with intermittent ventilation can be safely used in the surgery of children with endotracheal papilloma.The time of single apnea may be up to 180-240 seconds under the condition of sufficient oxygenation and proper ventilation.

Abstract: A novel sequence that functions as a promoter element for moderate constitutive expression of transgenes, designated as the PtMCP promoter, was isolated from the woody perennial Populus tomentosa. The PtMCP promoter was fused to the GUS reporter gene to characterize its expression pattern in different species. In stable Arabidopsis transformants, transcripts of the GUS reporter gene could be detected by RT-PCR in the root, stem, leaf, flower and silique. Further histochemical and fluorometric GUS activity assays demonstrated that the promoter could direct transgene expression in all tissues and organs, including roots, stems, rosette leaves, cauline leaves and flowers of seedlings and maturing plants. Its constitutive expression pattern was similar to that of the CaMV35S promoter, but the level of GUS activity was significantly lower than in CaMV35S promoter:: GUS plants. We also characterized the promoter through transient expression in transgenic tobacco and observed similar expression patterns. Histochemical GUS staining and quantitative analysis detected GUS activity in all tissues and organs of tobacco, including roots, stems, leaves, flower buds and flowers, but GUS activity in PtMCP promoter:: GUS plants was significantly lower than in CaMV35S promoter:: GUS plants. Our results suggested that the PtMCP promoter from poplar is a constitutive promoter with moderate activity and that its function is presumably conserved in different species. Therefore, the PtMCP promoter may provide a practical choice to direct moderate level constitutive expression of transgenes and could be a valuable new tool in plant genetic engineering.

Abstract: 对三亚鹿回头珊瑚岸礁沿垂直岸线的5条断面上84个调查样方观测照相和室内判读分析,鹿回头岸段石珊瑚共有13科24属69种,珊瑚分布不均,少数种类优势明显.石珊瑚优势种为澄黄滨珊瑚,其重要值百分比为36.62%;优势属为滨珊瑚属(43.85%)和鹿角珊瑚属(22.88%).各断面间多样性格局差异明显,并存在明显的垂直分带现象:东北部第1、2断面石珊瑚种类分布较为均匀,多样性指数值高于中南部第3、4、5断面;礁坪为珊瑚稀疏生长带,种类较少且滨珊瑚为绝对优势属(重要值百分比>50%);礁坡为珊瑚密集生长带,种类较多以鹿角珊瑚最占优势(28.33%),滨珊瑚仅次之(26.71%).近年来该岸段珊瑚礁衰退趋势明显,不合理的破坏性人类活动是重要原因.石珊瑚多样性的空间差异除因礁坪礁坡不同的自然环境外,主要与受到不同类型和强度的人类活动有关.礁坪大潮低潮时暴露,环境恶劣,且受人类采挖、践踏活动影响较频繁和明显;礁坡环境适宜,人类活动影响也相对微弱.养殖、捕捞和近岸排污等人类活动在岸段中南部较为突出,对珊瑚多样性的影响比东北部明显.在尊重珊瑚礁发育的自然规律基础上不断加大力度制止养殖、不合理捕捞和近岸排污等破坏性人类活动,才能更好地科学保护和管理该岸段珊瑚礁.

Abstract: 珊瑚礁区生物多样性程度可以与陆地热带雨林相提并论,目前关于珊瑚礁物种多样性及其空间分布特征方面研究进展迅速,是生物多样性研究的重要基地。作为一种生态资源,珊瑚礁还具有重要的生态功能,近年来由于全球气候逐渐变暖、人类活动影响不断加剧,导致其生物多样性缩减、生态功能严重退化。珊瑚礁生态系统多样性、遗传多样性已成为珊瑚礁研究热点,珊瑚礁生态环境效应和保护管理方面的研究也越来越受到重视。我国珊瑚礁主要分布在广阔的南海海域和海南岛、台湾岛、香港和广东广西沿岸,礁区生物种类繁多,多样性程度较高,以往研究主要涉及地质、地貌、生物、环境等方面,现今和今后一段时间里迫切需要加强生物多样性和生态功能研究,以确保更有效地保护和管理珊瑚礁。
Distribution of zinc in soil-crop system after long-term located application of zinc fertilizer

Abstract: A long term located experime nt of application of zinc fertilizer is conducted to study the distribution of Zn in soil crop system. Th e results show that zinc can be accumulated in soil after long ter m continuous application o f zinc fertilizer, the available zinc concentration in soil is enhanced, which i s higher than the critical value for assess whether Zn deficiency is occured or not .H igh zinc concentrations in crops and different tissues are observed owing to con tinuous application of zinc, but their distributions are different. Zinc is accu mulated in soil after a long term continuous application of zinc and zinc amount carried out by the crop is only 4.11% of the applied amount. So, it makes a potential risk for soil ecosystem.
