Research on Supply Chain Simulation System Based on Internet of Things  [PDF]

Abstract: As one of the top ten core industries in China, Internet of things, has gradually changed our life, by influencing enterprise production, storage and transportation, express, supermarket shopping, etc. By using Internet of things technology in the supply chain, enterprise can optimize the structure and process of supply chain management system, improve the information transmission speed and things matching accuracy, and improve the operation mode of supply chain. The paper constructs a supply chain simulation system based on Internet of things. Firstly we analyze the process of the simulation system, and then introduce key techniques of simulation platform and main functions of the system. The work provides a basic platform for follow-up research of Internet of things, and a training system for students.

Abstract:

The pathogenesis of Alzheimer’s disease (AD) putatively involves a compromised blood-brain barrier (BBB). In particular, the importance of brain-to-blood transport of brain-derived metabolites across the BBB has gained increasing attention as a potential mechanism in the pathogenesis of neurodegenerative disorders such as AD, which is characterized by the aberrant polymerization and accumulation of specific misfolded proteins, particularly β-amyloid (Aβ), a neuropathological hallmark of AD. P-glycoprotein (P-gp), a major component of the BBB, plays a role in the etiology of AD through Aβ clearance from the brain. Our QSAR models on a series of purine-type and propafenone-type substrates of P-gp showed that the interaction between P-gp and its modulators depended on Molar Refractivity, LogP, and Shape Attribute of drugs it transports. Meanwhile, another model on BBB partitioning of some compounds revealed that BBB partitioning relied upon the polar surface area, LogP, Balaban Index, the strength of a molecule combined with the membrane-water complex, and the changeability of the structure of a solute-membrane-water complex. The predictive model on BBB partitioning contributes to the discovery of some molecules through BBB as potential AD therapeutic drugs. Moreover, the interaction model of P-gp and modulators for treatment of multidrug resistance (MDR) indicates the discovery of some molecules to increase Aβ clearance from the brain and reduce Aβ brain

Abstract: In the distribution center, the way of order picking personnel to pick goods has two kinds: single picking and batch picking. Based on the way of the single picking and assumed warehouse model, in order to reduce the walking path of order picking, the order picking problem is transformed into the traveling salesman problem in this paper. Based on backtracking algorithm, the order picking path gets optimized. Finally verifing the optimization method under the environment of VC++6.0, order picking path in the warehouse model get optimized, and compared with the traditional order picking walking paths. The results show that in small and medium-sized warehouse, the optimization method proposed in this paper can reduce order picking walking path and improve the work efficiency as well as reduce the time cost.
Preparation and Characterization of Titania Microspheres and Their Application in a Liquid Chromatography Stationary Phase  [PDF]

Abstract: Titania microspheres were synthesized using hydrothermal methods to exploit a new liquid chromatography stationary phase. The prepared titania microspheres were approximately 7 μm in diameter, and the particle size distribution was relatively narrow and uniform. Furthermore, the average specific surface area was 276.0 m2·g·1, the average pore volume was approximately 0.25 mL·g·1, and the pore diameter was approximately 35.9 nm for sintering titania microspheres. These parameters indicate that the titania microspheres prepared for this study have excellent surface properties for chromatography. Additionally, columns filled with the titania microspheres were able to separate basic compounds, including benzene, nitrobenzene and o-nitroanisole. It could be proposed that the titania microspheres prepared for this study would be a promising stationary phase for liquid chromatography.
Mesoscopic Model of Actin-Based Propulsion

Abstract: Two theoretical models dominate current understanding of actin-based propulsion: microscopic polymerization ratchet model predicts that growing and writhing actin filaments generate forces and movements, while macroscopic elastic propulsion model suggests that deformation and stress of growing actin gel are responsible for the propulsion. We examine both experimentally and computationally the 2D movement of ellipsoidal beads propelled by actin tails and show that neither of the two models can explain the observed bistability of the orientation of the beads. To explain the data, we develop a 2D hybrid mesoscopic model by reconciling these two models such that individual actin filaments undergoing nucleation, elongation, attachment, detachment and capping are embedded into the boundary of a node-spring viscoelastic network representing the macroscopic actin gel. Stochastic simulations of this ‘in silico’ actin network show that the combined effects of the macroscopic elastic deformation and microscopic ratchets can explain the observed bistable orientation of the actin-propelled ellipsoidal beads. To test the theory further, we analyze observed distribution of the curvatures of the trajectories and show that the hybrid model's predictions fit the data. Finally, we demonstrate that the model can explain both concave-up and concave-down force-velocity relations for growing actin networks depending on the characteristic time scale and network recoil. To summarize, we propose that both microscopic polymerization ratchets and macroscopic stresses of the deformable actin network are responsible for the force and movement generation.

Abstract: Fine particles play an important role in the atmosphere. Research on heterogeneous reactions on the surface of fine particles is one of the frontier areas of atmospheric science. In this paper, physical and chemical characteristics of fine particles in the atmosphere and the interactions between trace gases and fine particles are described, methods used in heterogeneous reactions research are discussed in detail, progress in the study of heterogeneous reactions on the surface of fine particles in the atmosphere is summarized, existing important questions are pointed out and future research directions are suggested.
Hierarchical Matching for Chinese Calligraphic Retrieval Using Skeleton Similarity

Abstract: Individual Chinese characters are identified mainly by their skeleton structure instead of texture or color.In this paper, an approach based on skeleton similarity for Chinese calligraphic characters retrieval is proposed.By this approach,first,the skeleton of the binarized individual characters are acquired by an improved multi-level module analysis algorithm.Second,the first round of skeleton matching based on the invariant moment-descriptor guarantees the recall rate;the second round of skeleton matching based on the comprehensive characteristic difference in the polar coordinates system guarantees the retrieval precision.Finally,different styles of the same Chinese characters are ranked and displayed according to the two rounds of matching score.Besides,the efficiency of our approach is manifested by the preliminary experiment.

Improving Nonlinear Coordinated Control of Non-ideal STATCOM and Excitation of Salient-pole Generator

Abstract: The complexity of controlling is analyzed when the phase difference of voltage and current at the access point of STATCOM is in arbitrary angle β which is not in the ideal state of 90o for the coordinated control of detailed model of the salient -pole generators and STATCOM that is one of the core devices of the FACTS. The characteristics of single machine infinite-bus system including STATCOM are analyzed by establishing the nonlinear system model with algebraic constraint equations of one salient-pole generator and STATCOM and the detail control method of the excitation and STATCOM devices is designed by adopting geometric feedback linearization theory combined with classical linear quadratic optimal control. The method of design in this study expands the applied range of geometric linearization theory used in differential-algebraic systems and makes the coordinated control of excitation and STATCOM more feasible for practical engineering applications, which makes up for the insignificancy of the coordinated control research of salient-pole generator excitation and STATCOM.
