Abstract: Effects of entropy and free radical in life system are elucidated. The results indicate that living organism can maintain normal activities only if a suitable free radicals inside living organism can be guaranteed. Excessive free radical should be eliminated to reduce entropy in living organism. Some ways provided to eliminate excessive free radical, reduce entropy and keep health.
Construction monitoring of lock head base plateusing distributed optical fibre sensing technique

Abstract: The concrete hydration heat release process of the base plate is monitored using Roman optical time domain reflectometry(ROTDR)sensing sensors. The monitoring data shows that the internal maximum temperature of the base plate is about 54 ℃ after the concrete was cured for 120 h. The fiber Bragg grating(FBG)temperature sensors are adopted to measure the surface temperature of the concrete and the temperature results are used to compensate the data measured by the pulse-prepump Brillouin optical time-domain analyzer(PPP-BOTDA)to obtain the real concrete surface strain of the base plate. The monitoring data is analyzed to obtain a clear understanding of the strain state of the base plate under the effect of concrete hydration heat release. The monitoring results demonstrate the potential of distributed optical fibre sensing techniques as a powerful tool in real-time construction monitoring, and also provide an important insight into the design, construction and maintenance of large hydraulic structures.

Abstract: 首先介绍基于光纤布拉格光栅传感技术的新型原位测斜仪及其分析方法。根据光纤布拉格光栅波长变化与应变之间的线性关系求得原位测斜仪各测点的应变,然后通过梁的弯曲理论公式和差分算法,由测点应变计算出原位测斜仪各点的位移。该原位测斜仪克服了传统原位测斜仪精度低、耐久性差、操作繁琐等缺点。室内标定试验验证了该新型原位测斜仪和分析方法的有效性。针对攀田高速公路一路堑边坡,将3套新型光纤光栅原位测斜仪安装于该边坡同一剖面的3个钻孔里,并保证测斜仪贯穿了边坡内的潜在滑裂面,对该边坡进行现场监测。假设边坡滑动面为圆弧形,根据当前监测结果,以3个孔原位测斜仪所测应变之和最大为目标函数,以原位测斜仪在边坡坐标系中的位置和滑裂面的形状为约束条件,建立最优化数学模型来推求潜在滑裂面的具体位置。根据经典Bishop条分法计算得到了该潜在滑裂面对应的边坡安全系数,以评估该边坡当前的稳定性。本方法在基于边坡监测成果的边坡稳定性评估方面提出了新的可靠的途径。

Abstract: 考虑到大坝模型试验中内部变形难以监测的现状,研制了一种新型的基于光纤布拉格光栅(FBG)技术的光纤传感器.这种传感器为圆棒式结构,其表面沿轴向安装了准分布式的光纤布拉格光栅.对于大坝物理模型,该传感器可预埋入坝体和坝基的内部.当大坝受到油压千斤顶荷载产生变形时,该传感器类似于一根一端固定并同时受轴向拉、压和横向弯曲的弹性梁.根据弯梁原理,由光纤布拉格光栅测得的应变结果可反算出大坝沿水平向和竖向的位移分布.室内标定试验结果表明,该传感器测得的变形量与其他常规传感器的读数一致.在一个二维混凝土重力坝物理模型的超载破坏试验中,采用预埋于坝体、坝基内部的光纤传感器以及表面安装式位移计、电阻应变花对该模型进行实时的变形监测.试验结果验证了该光纤传感器在大坝模型内部变形监测中的有效性,同时也揭示了大坝在超载作用下的变形机制和破坏形态.

Abstract: Background Currently, a constant shortage in the supply of platelets has become an important medical and society challenge, especially in developing country, and the in vitro production of megakaryocytic progenitor cells (MPs) from cord blood could represent an effective platelet substitute. In the present study, our objective was to determine the safety and feasibility of ex vivo generated MPs in patients. Methods and Findings MPs were produced and characterized from cord blood mononuclear cells under a serum free medium with cytokines. We investigated the feasibility of expansion and infusion of cord blood-derived MPs in 24 patients with advanced hematological malignancyes. The primary end point was the safety and tolerability of the infusion of cord blood-derived MPs. No adverse effects were observed in patients who received ex vivo-generated cells at concentrations of up to a median value of 5.45×106cells/kg of body weight. With one year follow-up, acute and chronic GVHD had not been observed among patients who received MPs infusion, even without ABO blood group and HLA typing matching. Conclusions These initial results in patients are very encouraging. They suggest that infusion of cord blood-derived MPs appears safe and feasible for treatment of thrombocytopenia. Chinese speech identification in multi-talker babble with diotic and dichotic listening

Abstract: To explore Chinese Mandarin speech identification in babble of spatially separated talkers, subjective speech identification tests of word and sentence were made with diotic and dichotic listening respectively. The result shows that the speech identification scores changed non-monotonically with the masker number N increasing from 1 to infinity, first declining gradually until reaching their minimums and then rising. Statistical difference was found between the scores of diotic and dichotic listening. For all the values of N checked, dichotic listening achieved higher scores than diotic listening, showing that dichotic effect has an advantage for reducing babble masking. And the scores of sentence test are significantly higher than that of word test with whether diotic or dichotic listening, indicating that the linguistic connection in sentence can help listeners get a better perception of the target speech in babble masking.
