Abstract: The prediction accuracy of most current software reliability prediction models is not high. This paper put forward a software reliability prediction model based on AGA-LVQ,which takes advantage of non-linear computing power of the learning vector quantization (LVQ) neural network and parameter optimization capability of the adaptive genetic algorithm (AGA). Firstly,principle components analysis (PCA) preprocessing was used to reduce the dimension of the metrics and remove the redundancy and error data. Secondly, AGA was used to calculate the optimal initial vector weights of the LVQ neural network. Lastly, LVQ neural network was used to do the software reliability prediction experiments. The experiment results indicate that the method has a higher prediction precision than the traditional software reliability prediction model.

The Integrative Taxonomic Approach Reveals Host Specific Species in an Encyrtid Parasitoid Species Complex

Abstract: Integrated taxonomy uses evidence from a number of different character types to delimit species and other natural groupings. While this approach has been advocated recently, and should be of particular utility in the case of diminutive insect parasitoids, there are relatively few examples of its application in these taxa. Here, we use an integrated framework to delimit independent lineages in Encyrtus sasakii (Hymenoptera: Chalcidoidea: Encyrtidae), a parasitoid morphospecies previously considered a host generalist. Sequence variation at the DNA barcode (cytochrome c oxidase I, COI) and nuclear 28S rDNA loci were compared to morphometric recordings and mating compatibility tests, among samples of this species complex collected from its four scale insect hosts, covering a broad geographic range of northern and central China. Our results reveal that Encyrtus sasakii comprises three lineages that, while sharing a similar morphology, are highly divergent at the molecular level. At the barcode locus, the median K2P molecular distance between individuals from three primary populations was found to be 11.3%, well outside the divergence usually observed between Chalcidoidea conspecifics (0.5%). Corroborative evidence that the genetic lineages represent independent species was found from mating tests, where compatibility was observed only within populations, and morphometric analysis, which found that despite apparent morphological homogeneity, populations clustered according to forewing shape. The independent lineages defined by the integrated analysis correspond to the three scale insect hosts, suggesting the presence of host specific cryptic species. The finding of hidden host specificity in this species complex demonstrates the critical role that DNA barcoding will increasingly play in revealing hidden biodiversity in taxa that present difficulties for traditional taxonomic approaches.

Abstract: TPM is not able to destroy collapsed keys, because keys (except for SRK and EK) are stored outside of it. To solve this problem, this paper proposed two mechanisms of revoking TPM keys. Without major changes to the TPM command set, checked the validities of loaded keys by using key lists. While realizing revocation checking effectively, preserved backwards compatibility with the current TCG specifications, and introducted no overhead for normal operation. At last, to improve the efficiency of revoking and loading operations and enhance the practicability of revocation mechanism, proposed the combination of both mechanisms.

vSMC: Parallel Sequential Monte Carlo in C++

Abstract: Sequential Monte Carlo is a family of algorithms for sampling from a sequence of distributions. Some of these algorithms, such as particle filters, are widely used in the physics and signal processing researches. More recent developments have established their application in more general inference problems such as Bayesian modeling. These algorithms have attracted considerable attentions in recent years as they admit natural and scalable parallelizations. However, these algorithms are perceived to be difficult to implement. In addition, parallel programming is often unfamiliar to many researchers though conceptually appealing, especially for sequential Monte Carlo related fields. A C++ template library is presented for the purpose of implementing general sequential Monte Carlo algorithms on parallel hardware. Two examples are presented: a simple particle filter and a classic Bayesian modeling problem.
