Education of Media Literacy and Ideology & Politics  [PDF]
Huali Zhong
Creative Education (CE) , 2015, DOI: 10.4236/ce.2015.622248
Abstract: With the continuous development of society, media literacy education has an increasingly important position and role in university ideological and political education. Therefore, making media literacy education suit university ideological and political education is of great significance to ensure the comprehensive efficiency of ideological and political education. The concept of media literacy education, followed by its inner connection with university ideological and political education, is first introduced in this work. Then negative factors influencing the function of media literacy education in ideological and political education are analyzed. Moreover, practicable principles and measures are proposed to inspire the function of media literacy education in ideological and political education.
Empirical Analysis in the Political Connection and the Performance of Merger and Acquisition  [PDF]
Zhentang Zhong
Journal of Service Science and Management (JSSM) , 2016, DOI: 10.4236/jssm.2016.91001
Abstract: As the domestic capital market starts late, relative to perfect foreign capital markets, there is relatively less study on Merger and Acquisition (M & A), and there is more lacking in related research on the impact of non-economic factors such as corporate culture and political connection on the performance of M & A. This paper supplements vacancy related fields through the study on impact of relations between enterprises and governments on the performance of M & A. Taking M & A events launched by China’s A-share listed companies from 2007 to 2011 as samples, this paper uses operating cash flow return on total assets to measure a company’s performance and testing is performed by multiple regression analysis; the results show that the political connection degree of general manager or chairman has no significant impact on the performance after M & A, while has a significant positive impact on the performance of M & A in private enterprises.
Equities Incentive, Informativeness of Stock Price and Earnings Management: Based on the Chinese A-Share Listed Companies  [PDF]
Qifan Zhong
Modern Economy (ME) , 2016, DOI: 10.4236/me.2016.73028
Abstract: Equities incentive is more and more frequently used for motivating management among Chinese listed companies, but whether it will degrade informativeness of stock price, thus reduce the efficiency of capital allocation in security market remains to be verified. This article used the data of A-share listed companies in China from 2010-2014, deployed an empirical research to study the relationship between equities incentive and informativeness of stock price, considering earnings management as an intermediary variable. According to the analysis results, we found that higher level of equities incentive tended to degrade the level of informativeness of stock price, and the earnings management was not an effective intermediary variable, which meant the earnings management resulted from equities incentive was less likely to affect informativeness of stock price.
Analysis of Dividend Policy Influence Factors of China’s Listed Banks  [PDF]
Yanqiong Zhong
Open Journal of Social Sciences (JSS) , 2016, DOI: 10.4236/jss.2016.43034
Abstract: This article analyzes the present situation of dividend distribution of listed banks in China based on the 2010-2013 panel data, the results show that some of the listed banks do not pay dividend, but the proportion is small, the dividend payment rate is generally low but the state-controlled banks often have a higher rate. Then the article analyzes the factors affecting dividend policy of listed banks by using empirical method, and finds that profitability and liquidity of assets have a positive effect on the dividend payment rate, debt levels have a negative effect on the dividend payment rate, and the growth ability and operation ability have no significant effect on the rate of dividend payment.
Analysis of Incentive Effects of Government R & D Investment on Technology Transaction  [PDF]
Yufeng Zhong
Modern Economy (ME) , 2017, DOI: 10.4236/me.2017.81006
Abstract: With panel data of 25 provinces from 2009 to 2014 and the internal expenditure of R & D derived from the government as the measure of the government’s R & D input in the region, the fixed effect model is adopted to analyze the influence of the government R & D investment on technology transaction. Empirical results show that technology transaction will be promoted significantly with the increase of government R & D investment. Therefore, the technology transaction can be effectively stimulated by adding the R & D investment from government to make more technological innovation achieve the transfer and commercialization.
Commercial Bank Ownership Structure and Risk Preference  [PDF]
Haoxuan Zhong
Journal of Mathematical Finance (JMF) , 2017, DOI: 10.4236/jmf.2017.72023
Abstract: Company’s risk-taking behavior has a significant impact on corporate earnings’ growth and the social economic development, and different ownership structure will affect the company’s risk preference. In this paper, with the 25 Chinese listed banks, the empirical tests the effect of ownership structure on bank’s risk preference. The result showed that the correlation between ownership concentration and the bank’s risk preference is positive; the bank’s risk preference and shareholding separation have inverted u-shaped relation; the correlation between bank’s equity balance and the bank’s risk preference is negative; the correlation between bank’s cash flow rights and voting rights divergence and the bank’s risk preference is in inverted u-shaped.
A Model Study on the Effect of Housing Supply Elasticity on Labor Market  [PDF]
Yihui Zhong
Open Journal of Business and Management (OJBM) , 2017, DOI: 10.4236/ojbm.2017.53044
Abstract: We develop a model of wage and rent determination that features spillovers from export-sector shocks to the market for locally produced (nontraded) goods and services, mediated by housing supply elasticities. Our model can explain stylized facts such as “gentrification” in major cities driven by shocks to industries in which those cities specialize.
A Model of Representing Extension and Shrinking for Spatial Relations  [PDF]
Shan Zhong, Junpeng Wan
Journal of Software Engineering and Applications (JSEA) , 2011, DOI: 10.4236/jsea.2011.43022
Abstract: Aiming at region connection calculus (RCC) can only roughly represent spatial topological relations, and have difficulty in representing the distance, direction and so on. Therefore, based on RCC theory, Region Extension and Shrinking Calculus are proposed, and then a formalized metrization method using region as a basic unit is introduced. Based on RESC theory, taking the advantage such as application simplicity and easy realization of gird area method. The experiment proves the spatial relations can be easily obtained by Grid-Region method, and it is an effective way to repre- sent spatial relations.
Research on Key Technology of General Embedded GIS  [PDF]
Zhanya XU, Zhong XIE
Journal of Geographic Information System (JGIS) , 2010, DOI: 10.4236/jgis.2010.21004
Abstract: With the development of mobile devices and digitalization of information, the GIS system will be more popular than before. For the variable of mobile devices and different system structure, the design of universal embedded GIS system will be more difficult. In this paper, we talked the features of embedded GIS and the key techniques, design a highly portable general embedded GIS platform, and by using some applications to tested the advantages of the new system.
A Neuro-inspired Adaptive Motion Detector  [PDF]
Xiaopin Zhong, Lin Ma
Optics and Photonics Journal (OPJ) , 2013, DOI: 10.4236/opj.2013.32B024
Abstract: In this paper, a novel motion detector is proposed to perceive the weak changes in a image sequence. This is inspired by the mechanism of fixational eye movement and dynamics of vertebrate’s cortex. We realized respectively an artificial model of visual attention selection, called dual-probe adaptive model (DPAM), and an active tremor operation (ATO) approach. It is found that between them there exists a resonance phenomenon. The phenomenon is enhanced when the ATO and the DPAM are in-phase and is suppressed when they are anti-phase. Based on this, we construct a novel motion detector combined by the ATO and the DPAM to resonate with the motion direction. This allows capturing moving edges even in the image sequences with lighting change and noisy background. Simulation and Experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness.
