Abstract: Quantum mechanics, one of the important theories of modern physics, is fairly esoteric and abstract. Based on the characteristics of the quantum mechanics course, the article studies the modernization of quantum mechan-ics teaching in four aspects: the modernization of the teaching idea, Computer-Aided Instruc-tion, the development of Information technology software and the establishment of three-di-mensional digital curriculum teaching resource library.
Traditional Chinese Medicinal Syndromes and Treatment in Colorectal Cancer  [PDF]

Abstract: Colorectal cancer remains the third most common malignancy worldwide. According to the principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), colorectal cancer is related to spleen-deficiency, damp-heat, and toxicity accumulation. Traditional Chinese medicine has been confirmed to effectively reduce toxic side effects and enhance curative effects of chemotherapy, palliate clinical syndrome, prevent recurrence and metastasis, improve quality of life and immune function, and prolong survival time in colorectal cancer. However, TCM theoretical and syndrome differentiation study has lagged far behind due to progression of therapy model in colorectal cancer. As a type of drug treatment, there are some common biological basis between chemotherapy, targeted therapy and anti-cancer herb therapy in colorectal cancer, such as apoptosis, cell senescence and autophagy. There are growing needs to explore the effect mechanism and compatibility of anti-cancer herbs, to further enhance the efficacy of TCM treatment in colorectal cancer.
Effects of Tai Chi in Patients with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease: Preliminary Evidence

Abstract: Background Currently, several studies assessed the role of Tai Chi (TC) in management of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, but these studies have wide variation of sample and convey inconclusive results. We therefore undertook a meta-analysis to assess the effects of TC. Methods A computerized search through electronic databases was performed to obtain sample studies. The primary outcomes were 6-min walking distance (6MWD) and dyspnea. Secondary outcomes included health-related quality of life and pre-bronchodilator spirometry. Weighted mean differences (WMDs) and 95% confidence intervals (CIs) were calculated and heterogeneity was assessed with the I2 test. A random-effects meta-analysis model was applied. Results Eight randomized controlled trials involving 544 patients met the inclusion criteria. The pooled WMDs were 34.22 m (95% CI 21.25–47.20, P<0.00001) for 6 MWD, –0.86 units (95% CI –1.44––0.28, P = 0.004) for dyspnea, 70 ml (95% CI 0.02–0.13, P = 0.01) for FEV1, 120 ml (95% CI 0.00–0.23, P = 0.04) for FVC. TC significantly improved the Chronic Respiratory Disease Questionnaire total score, and the St George’s Respiratory Questionnaire score except impact score. Conclusions Findings suggest that TC may provide an effective alternative means to achieve results similar to those reported following participation in pulmonary rehabilitation programs. Further studies are needed to substantiate the preliminary findings and investigate the long-term effects of TC.

Abstract: In the title compound, C14H16O3 [systematic name: (3R*,3aR*)-3-(3-furanyl)-3a,7-dimethyl-3a,4,5,6-tetrahydro-2-benzofuran-1(3H)-one], the pendant methyl and furan groups attached to the stereogenic centres lie to the same side of the fused ring system. The dihedral angle between the five-membered rings is 74.8 (2)°; the fused five-membered ring adopts a twisted conformation. In the crystal, molecules are linked by weak C—H...O interactions, which generate [100] chains.
Complementary tensor-driven image coherence diffusion for oriented structure enhancement

Abstract: Oriented structure enhancement plays important role in computer vision tasks, where the diffusion is encouraged along the preferred direction instead of perpendicular to it. By analyzing the differential geometric property of the oriented structure, a complementary tensor is proposed by combining the first and the second-order structure tensors as complementary descriptors, which can precisely analyze not only the step edges, but also the weak edges such as narrow peak or ridge-like structures. Complementary diffusion tensor is constructed from the new structure tensor, which steers coherence diffusion for oriented structure enhancement. Furthermore, fast algorithm based on additive operator splitting scheme is used for numerical solution, which is much faster than usual approach. The experimental results on several images are provided. Experiments show that the image diffusion process steered by the new complementary tensor can strengthen the oriented structures and also close the interrupted lines as well. Both strong and weak edges are enhanced while noise is removed. Our approach is very promising and could be applied to many other images.

Empirical Analysis of Interactive Control’s Effectiveness: A Parent-Subsidiary Company’s Interdependence Perspective  [PDF]

Abstract: Due to the increasingly complex business environment and the principal-agent relationship, the enterprise group should establish a control system to prevent agency risk. Besides traditional system control, the parent company tends to adopt an interactive control including decentralized decision making, process communication and target incentive to guide and govern the subsidiaries. As an elastic control mechanism, the interactive control’s effectiveness could be influenced by the resources dependence relationship which is objective existence between the parent and subsidiary company. Based on the classical literature review, this study analyzes the effects of interaction control to the performance (“interactive control → performance”) and the interdependence’s regulating role by a total sample and a multiple-group structural equation analysis based on Chinese groups’ data, the results show that the interactive control could improve the subsidiaries’ performance, but different control process has its particular applicable interdependence situation. In the conclusions, we proposed some suggestions to promote the interactive control’s effectiveness in the enterprise group’s management practices.
Species composition and seasonal variation of marine nematodes on Futian mudflat in Shenzhen estuary

Abstract: We set up three sampling stations on the mudflat in Shenzhen estuary to investigate free_living marine nematodes. Twenty_eight species of marine nematodes were obtained during four surveys. These nematodes belong to 22 genera, 13 families and three orders. The dominant species were Terschellingia sp1., Daptonema sp1., Metalinhomoeus sp. and Paradontophora sp. The density of marine nematodes was the highest in spring, the second in winter, the third in summer and the lowest in autumn. The pattern of marine nematode assemblage was similar to that of the macrofaunal community on the mudflat in Shenzhen estuary. For example, both had low species number, low species diversity index and low richness index, and the dominant species appeared with high population density. The seasonal fluctuation of the nematode abundance showed almost the same pattern as the abundance of the polychaete, Tharyx sp. It appeared that the most dominant species of nematodes had a type of symbiotic relationship with Tharyx sp. This phenomenon may relate to their ecological habit because they live and breed in mudflats with high content of organic matter.
