Downregulation of alpha7 nicotinic acetylcholine receptor in two-kidney one-clip hypertensive rats

Abstract: The 2-kidney 1-clip (2K1C) hypertensive rat model was used. Blood pressure, vagus nerve function, serum tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α) and both the mRNA and protein levels of α7nAChR in tissues from heart, kidney and aorta were measured at 4, 8 and 20 weeks after surgery.Compared with age-matched control, it was found that vagus nerve function was significantly decreased in 2K1C rats with the development of hypertension. Serum levels of TNF-α were greater in 2K1C rats than in age-matched control at 4, 8 and 20 weeks. α7nAChR mRNA in the heart was not altered in 2K1C rats. In the kidney of 2K1C rats, α7nAChR expression was significantly decreased at 8 and 20 weeks, but markedly increased at 4 weeks. α7nAChR mRNA was less in aorta of 2K1C rats than in age-matched control at 4, 8 and 20 weeks. These findings were confirmed at the protein levels of α7nAChR.Our results suggested that secondary hypertension may induce α7nAChR downregulation, and the decreased expression of α7nAChR may contribute to inflammation in 2K1C hypertension.

Abstract: Aiming at the problem of the interval partition of satellite network topology updating, put forword a method of the updating period estimate of satellite network topology based on the characteristic of link. First, put forword three models to fulfill the modeling of updating period of satellite network topology, the models were as follows: the model of the coverage time of satellite, the model of the characteristic of link and the model of the updating period estimate of satellite network topology, then the simulation of the satellite of different constellations was done to validate the method, achieved the updating period estimate of satellite network topology by the synthetic research of coverage time, time delay skip and the characteristic of link, provided the view of research from the characteristic of link to network topology and routing computing, and through network topology, connected the characteristic of link and routing computing with each other integrally, which had direction for the effective design of satellite network.

Abstract: Bioreactor landfill is an emerging landfilling method, which represents the newest developing aspect of Municipal Solid Wastes (MSW) treatment. On basis of analyzing the merits and defects of present bioreactor landfilling methods, the paper improves these methods and combines organically aeration and leachate recirculation into a new reactor (called reactor A), which is contrasted with bare aerobic landfill (called reactor B). During the course of experiment, NH3, CH4, CO2, pH, temperature and electric conductivity in the two bioreactors were controlled and detected, meanwhile, COD, Fe3+, NH4+ in the leachate were detected and analyzed. The paper researches on the wastes degradation and the COD, Fe3+ and NH4+ removal of the two bioreacotors, probes into the mechanics of wastes and leachate degradation. Finally the paper draws a conclusion that the effect of degrading wastes and leachate of bioreactor A is better than that of bioreactor B.

Abstract: Based on holographic lithography, layered dye-doped photonic crystals are fabricated in dichromated gelatin emulsions. Under pumping of 532 nm pulse laser, fluorescence spectrums of samples show up remarkable band gaps, and lasing is achieved at the edge of fluorescence band gap with pumping energy increasing. Furthermore, the effects on lasing of matching between the edge of band gap and the peak of fluorescence are studied. Lasing threshold becomes lower as the edge of band gap is closer to the peak of fluorescence. Otherwise, it is difficult for lasing. The study provides new idea and method for the development of super low-threshold photonic crystal laser.

Abstract: 对污泥进行不同pH值的酸性预处理,用HCl将污泥pH值分别调到2.0、3.0、4.0、5.0,在4℃条件下放置24 h,然后再用NaOH分别调到2.0~12.0用于批量试验,系统考察了不同初始pH值对酸性预处理污泥厌氧发酵产氢的影响.研究表明,初始pH为2.0~4.0以及12.0时对产氢菌及耗氢菌有抑制作用,总体产氢量少;初始pH为5.0~9.0时,甲烷菌及产氧菌均活跃,产氢滞后时间短.但总体产氢量少;初始pH为11.0时,甲烷菌受到明显抑制,而产氢菌仍然活跃,总体产氢量较高,发酵后期pH恒定在7.0~8.0,经pH为2.0、3.0、4.0和5.0酸性预处理的污泥(干重)累积产氢量分别为0.59、1.83、0.50和0.56 mL/g.
Mutation of SLC35D3 Causes Metabolic Syndrome by Impairing Dopamine Signaling in Striatal D1 Neurons

Abstract: Obesity is one of the largest health problems facing the world today. Although twin and family studies suggest about two-thirds of obesity is caused by genetic factors, only a small fraction of this variance has been unraveled. There are still large numbers of genes to be identified that cause variations in body fatness and the associated diseases encompassed in the metabolic syndrome (MetS). A locus near a sequence tagged site (STS) marker D6S1009 has been linked to obesity or body mass index (BMI). However, its genetic entity is unknown. D6S1009 is located in the intergenic region between SLC35D3 and NHEG1. Here we report that the ros mutant mice harboring a recessive mutation in the Slc35d3 gene show obesity and MetS and reduced membrane dopamine receptor D1 (D1R) with impaired dopamine signaling in striatal neurons. SLC35D3 is localized to both endoplasmic reticulum (ER) and early endosomes and interacts with D1R. In ros striatal D1 neurons, lack of SLC35D3 causes the accumulation of D1R on the ER to impair its ER exit. The MetS phenotype is reversible by the administration of D1R agonist to the ros mutant. In addition, we identified two mutations in the SLC35D3 gene in patients with MetS, which alter the subcellular localization of SLC35D3. Our results suggest that the SLC35D3 gene, close to the D6S1009 locus, is a candidate gene for MetS, which is involved in metabolic control in the central nervous system by regulating dopamine signaling.
New periodic wave solutions, localized excitations and their interaction for 2+1-dimensional Burgers equation

Abstract: Based on the B?cklund method and the multilinear variable separation approach (MLVSA), this paper finds a general solution including two arbitrary functions for the (2+1)-dimensional Burgers equations. Then a class of new doubly periodic wave solutions for (2+1)-dimensional Burgers equations is obtained by introducing appropriate Jacobi elliptic functions, Weierstrass elliptic functions and their combination in the general solutions (which contains two arbitrary functions). Two types of limit cases are considered. Firstly, taking one of the moduli to be unity and the other zero, it obtains particular wave (called semi-localized) patterns, which is periodic in one direction, but localized in the other direction. Secondly, if both moduli are tending to 1 as a limit, it derives some novel localized excitations (two-dromion solution).

Abstract: 采用sol—gel方法制备了ZnFe2O4/Fe2O3纳米复相铁氧体,利用X射线衍射,高分辨电镜(HREM)对样品的结构进行了分析。结果表明,复相锌铁氧体是形成隧道结构的必要条件;伏安曲线和磁电阻效应等从性能上说明复相锌铁氧体具有隧道磁电阻的特性;HREM直接观测到复相锌铁氧体形成隧道结构,其中绝缘层α—Fe2O3位于晶界处,从相变动力学分析中,也证实了α-Fe2O3是由ZnFe2O4晶界或表面控制的析晶,位于晶界处。
Driving Force of the Polar Nonferroeletric Piezoelectric Crystal along One Dimension

Abstract: Polar piezoelectric glass-ceramics of composition Ba2-xSrxTiSi2O8 with c-axis oriented growth were prepared by crystallizing the BaO-SrO-TiO2-SiO2 glasses in a high temperature gradient. The structure was determined by XRD and SEM. The physical model of driving force of the polar piezoelectric Ba2-xSrxTiSi2O8 crystal along c-axis dimension was set up, in accord with the experiment. The results show that the c-axis oriented growth of polar crystal is synchronously driven by gradient of temperature, dipole field and c-axis maximum energy of crystal lattice. The interior driving forces are both the difference of energy of ionic crystal lattice in different axis and dipole field produced by spontaneous polarization of polar crystal. The exterior driving force is the gradient of temperature.
