THE TRAJECTORY OF THE EXTRAORDINARY RAY AS THE CRYSTAL ROTATES

Abstract: In this areticle, general formulae for the direction of the extraordinary ray are obtained in the case of light incident on uniaxial crystal, the corresponding data are plotted in three-view diagrams for Iceland spar, these make the trajectory of the extraordinary ray clear as the crystal rotates. The obtained results offer a possibility of developing new methods for determination of optical constants of crystals.
New species of Homidia (Collembola, Entomobryidae) from eastern China with description of the first instar larvae

Abstract: Morphology of the first instar larvae of Collembola has considerably taxonomical and phylogenetic significance. We describe the first instar larvae for the first time in Homidia. External morphology of first instar larvae and adults of Homidia jordanai sp. n. is described based on observations under light and scanning electron microscopes. Most organs of adults bear considerably more setae than the first instar larvae; in addition, first instar larval Homidia lack labial seta R, seta on tenaculum, mucronal spine, and dental spines. The new species is characterized by weakly pigmented body, long antennae subequal to body in length, 1+1 inner macrochaetae on Abd. III, few inner macrochaetae on posterior Abd. IV, and spiny and short seta pi on dental base. Differences between new species and other two similar ones, taxonomical significance of the first instar larvae and the position of Homidia are also discussed.
First record of Acrocyrtus Yosii, 1959 (Collemobla, Entomobryidae) from Chinese mainland

Abstract: The genus Acrocrytus is reported from Chinese mainland for the first time, with description of two new species Acrocyrtus zhujiensis sp. n. and Acrocyrtus finis sp. n. from Zhejiang Province, East China. They can be separated from other species of this genus by colour pattern, unscaled appendages (antennae, legs and ventral tube), interocular chaetae, labial basal chaetae, bothriotrichal complex chaetae on Abd. II–IV, microchaeta a2 on Abd. II, im on Abd. III and C1p on Abd. IV. Illustrations and a table showing main differences with closest Acrocyrtus species are provided.
Equation of State for Isospin Asymmetric Matter of Nucleons and Deltas

Abstract: An investigation on the equation of state of the isospin asymmetric, hot, dense matter of nucleons and deltas is performed based on the relativistic mean field theory. The QHD-II-type effective Lagrangian extending to the delta degree of freedom is adopted. Our results show that the equation of state is softened due to the inclusion of the delta degree of freedom. The baryon resonance isomer may occur depending on the delta-meson coupling. The results show that the densities for appearing the baryon resonance isomer, the densities for starting softening the equation of state and the extent of the softening depend not only on the temperature, the coupling strengths but also the isospin asymmetry of the baryon matter.

Abstract: In this work the triple differential cross sections for electron impact ionization of helium at an incident energy of 64.6 eV is considered in the coplanar symmetric energy-sharing and fixed relative angles of the two out-going electrons kinematics. A new collision process called triple-binary collision is identified. It has been shown that the ordinary double-binary collision process is excluded from the collision kinematics considered here. It has also been shown how the exchange effects symmetrically contribute to the peaks in the cross sections.

Abstract: A new class of nonlinear Lie algebra has been found, which is generated naturally by the Hamiltonian operator, the square of the angular momentum operator and the ladder operator for the central potentials. According to the theory of nonlinear Lie algebra, without using the factorization method, we obtained the vector ladder operators for the three-dimensional isotropic harmonic oscillator and hydrogen atom. The radial components of these operators, which are independent of the quantum numbers, are just the radial ladder operators for the same potentials.

Abstract: The energy spectrum-generating algebra for one-dimensional infinitely deep square potential well is constructed by using an additional phase variable, and a class of sets of the annihilation operator coherent states are introduced. These sets are strongly continuous in their parameter on the whole complex plane and satisfy the overcompleteness relation in a curved parameter space with rotational symmetry.

Abstract: 采取脉络法,对柳属(Salix)繁柳组(Sect.Denticulatae C.K.Schneid.)17种及1变种进行叶片脉序观察。结果表明:繁柳组植物叶脉序类型均为直行羽状脉,表现出较高的一致性。该组植物均有二级间脉,但类型各有不同;三级脉及较高级脉序大体有三种类型;网眼发育完善或不完善;盲脉偶有不分枝;不同种之间网眼的发育以及盲脉分枝具有显著差异,是有价值的分类性状。根据聚类分析,繁柳组植物叶脉序分为两种类型:草地柳(S.praticola Hand.-Mazz.ex Enander)类型及腹毛柳(S.delavayana Hand.-Mazz.)类型,研究结果与形态学结果基本一致,但叶脉序提供了新的分类学性状,可为柳属植物疑难种的分类寻找新的依据。

Abstract: DNA computing is a new computation method with simulating molecular biology structure of DNA and by means of molecular biology technology. This method has been widely used in many respects. Simply reviewed the progress of DNA computing, the paper introduces a new model of molecular computation that is called the sticker model. Finally, the solution of the minimal covering problem on surface using fluorescence marking technology is proposed based on the principle of sticker model.
