Abstract: In the title compound, [HgBr2(C13H11NO)2], the HgII atom adopts a four-coordinated HgN2Br2 geometry, formed by two pyridine N atoms from two ligands and two bromide anions. The complex is located on a twofold axis. The coordination geometry is close to forming a see-saw (SS-4) polyhedron, the symmetry-related organic ligands being almost perpendicular; the dihedral angles between the two pyridine rings and between the two benzene rings are 85.5 (4) and 87.7 (4)°, respectively. Within the organic ligand, the pyridine ring is nearly coplanar with the benzene ring [dihedral angle = 13.1 (8)°]. In the crystal, the molecular complexes are connected through weak intermolecular C—H...Br contacts.
Photocatalytic Degradation of Gaseous Dibenzofuran by TiO2 Doped with Fe3+, Ce3+

Abstract: The gaseous photocatalytic degradation of dibenzofuran, dioxins-like substance, was investigated by using TiO_2 , Ce~(3+) /TiO_2 and Fe~(3+)/TiO_2 as photocatalysts. The batch-type photocatalytic reaction experiments were conducted, and the effects of initial concentration of reactant, humidity, circulation flow rate and light intensity on the photocatalytic degradation of dibenzofuran were studied. And the models and methods for estimating photocatalytic reaction constants and Langmuir adsorption constants were proposed. Results showed that the photocatalytic activity of the TiO_2 photocatalyst was obviously improved after doping with Fe~(3+) and Ce~(3+) , and the photocatalytic activity of Fe~(3+) /TiO_2 was the best in three photocatalysts. The degradation rate of dibenzofuran increased with the increase of the initial concentration of gaseous dibenzofuran in the batch-type photocatalytic reaction system. The photocatalytic degradation of gaseous dibenzofuran was enhanced when proper quantities of water vapor existed. However, it would be inhibited if there was excessive water vapor. As the circulation flow rate and the light intensity increased, the photocatalytic degradation rate of gaseous dibenzofuran also increased. The photocatalytic reaction rate coefficients of dibenzofuran on the photocatalysts TiO_2, Ce~(3+)/TiO_2 and Fe~(3+)/TiO_2 were 34.54 × 10~(-5) , 36.23 × 10~(-5) and 37.95 × 10~(-4) mg · ( min · m~2 )~(-1) respectively.
Clinicopathological features and prognosis assessment of extranodal follicular dendritic cell sarcoma

Abstract: AIM: To establish a model for prognosis assessment of extranodal follicular dendritic cell (FDC) sarcoma.METHODS: Nine lesions were examined by routine and molecular approaches. Clinicopathological factors from the new cases and 97 reported cases were analyzed for their prognostic values.RESULTS: The current lesions were found in five male and four female patients, located mainly in the head and neck area and averaging 7.2 cm in size. Six patients had recurrence or metastasis and three remained free of disease. The 106 patients (male/female ratio, 1.1:1) were aged from 9 to 82 years (median, 44 years). The tumor sizes ranged from 1.5 to 21 cm (mean, 7.4 cm). Abdominal/pelvic region was affected most frequently (43%). Surgical resection was performed in 100 patients, followed by radiation and/or chemotherapy in 35 of them. Follow-up data were available in 91 cases, covering a period of 3-324 mo (mean, 27 mo; median, 19 mo). Of the informative cases, 38 (42%) had recurrence or metastasis, and 12 (13%) died of the disease. These tumors were classified histologically into low- and high-grade lesions. A size ≥ 5 cm (P = 0.003), high-grade histology (P = 0.046) and a mitotic count ≥ 5/10 HPF (P = 0.013) were associated with tumor recurrence. The lesions were defined as low-, intermediate- and high-risk tumors, and their recurrence rates were 16%, 46% and 73%, and their mortality rates 0%, 4% and 45%, respectively.CONCLUSION: Extranodal FDC tumors behave like soft tissue sarcomas. Their clinical outcomes are variable and can be evaluated according to their sizes and grades.

Characteristics of agricultural climate resources in three provinces of Northeast China under global climate change

Abstract: Based on the 1961-2007 weather data from 72 meteorological stations in three provinces of Northeast China,the change characteristics of agricultural climatic factors including yearly and temperature-defined growing season's mean air temperature,≥10 ℃ accumulated temperature,precipitation,reference evapotranspiration,and sunshine hours were analyzed.In 1961-2007,the yearly mean air temperature in the three provinces had an increasing trend,with a rate of 0.38 ℃ ·10 a~(-1).The≥10 ℃ accumulated temperature in temperature-defined growing season also had an increasing trend.and the border of ≥10 ℃ accumulated temperature belt moved northward and eastward.The area of ≥3200℃·d accumulated temperature increased by 2.2×10~4 km~2.The belt 0f 2800-3200 ℃·d moved northward about 0.85°and eastward about 0.67°,while that of 2400-2800 ℃·d moved northward about 1.1°.The sunshine hours decreased significantly,especially in the east part of Songnen Plain,central and west plains of Jilin Province,and west part of Liaohe River Plain.The area with sunshine hours >2800 h decreased from 13.6×10~4 km~2 to 4.1 ×10~4 km~2,and the zone with sunshine hours 2600-2800 h moved westward about 1.5°.The average sunshine hour in temperature-defined growing season was 1174 h.Comparing with that in 1961-1980,the region with more sunshine hours in temperature-defined growing season in 1981-2007 narrowed significantly,and the zone with sunshine hours 1200-1400 h moved westward about 0.9°.In 1961-2007,both the yearly and the temperature-defined growing season's precipitation decreased,and the yearly reference evapotranspiration increased in Heilongjiang Province and in the eastern mountain areas of Jilin Province but decreased in the central and west plains of Jilin Province and in Liaoning Province.Comparing with that in 1961-1980,the zone of reference evapotranspiration with the value of ≥900 mm in 1981-2007 moved westward about 1°,and the reference evapotranspiration in temperature-defined growing season increased in most regions of Hei-longjiang and Jilin Province but decreased in a rate of 0-14 mm·10 a~(-1) in most regions of Liaoning Province.
Entomopathogenic fungal parasites of scale insects and their potential in biological control

Abstract: Scale insects (Hemiptera: Coccoidea) compose a group of important plant pests of agricultural crops, forest plants, ornamental plants and fruit trees. The history of the study of entomopathogenic fungi as a biological insecticide is reviewed according to the three developmental stages: the pioneering stage, the slow development stage, and the prosperity stage. Additionally, the status of this field in China was discussed. A list including approximately 140 species within 55 genera of the recorded fungal pathogens of scale insects in the world was provided. Finally, we provide four suggestions for the development of entomopathogenic fungi in the future.

Analysis of water consumption and yield characteristic of aerobic rice in North China

Abstract: 本研究利用2001~2002年的试验结果,分析了北京昌平旱稻的产量及产量构成要素、水分利用效率和耗水特征.结果表明:在水分输入为300~522mm条件下,北京地区"旱稻297"和"早稻502"的产量水平分别为3876~5289kg·hm-2、3977~5664kg·hm-2,灌溉水的水分利用效率分别为1.01~1.29g·kg-1、1.03~1.33g·kg-1,同一品种不同水分处理之间存在差异."早稻502"的产量和水分利用效率均高于"早稻297",表明"早稻502"更适宜在北京地区种植.对产量分析可以看出,在损失7.9%~29.8%产量前提下,水分利用效率可以提高1.9%~27.7%,其中前期限量灌溉处理的水分利用效率提高幅度最大,为3.6%~23.1%,而产量仅降低7.9%~15.5%.表明前期限量后期充分灌溉处理为北京地区气候条件下的早稻节水灌溉模式.同时利用北京地区昌平气象站1951~2005年的气侯资料,分析了旱稻生长季内的降水特点,根据person-Ⅲ分布法确定了早稻生长季内的3种降水年型,并分析了不同降水年型下旱稻生长季内的降水与作物需水的耦合度.结果表明:旱稻在正常年和干旱年型下生长季内各生育阶段均需灌溉水补充,而湿润年型只需在开花~成熟阶段适当补充灌溉.

Abstract: Cultural characteristics of 8 species of agarics causing wood-rot are described. They belong to Tricholomataceae and Strophariaceae. All of them grow on and in rotted woods.They are Hypsizygus marmoreus, Lentinus lepideus, Oudemansiella mucida, Panellus stypticus, Xeromphalina campanella, Naematoloma fasciculare, Pholiota nameko and Pholiota squarrosoides.
