EVOLUTION OF ENTROPY IN THE NONLINEAR JAYNES-CUMMINGS MODEL

Abstract: In this paper we study the correlation between the external and the internal state of the trapped atoms by means of the nonlinear Jaynes-Cummings Hamiltonian, in which we pay special attention to the influence of the nonlinearity. We find that the correlation is reflected by the entropy of the vibration mode, which is strongly affected by the nonlinearity. The nonlinearity, embodied by the nonlinear Rabi frequency, exhitits various effects, of which the most important feature is the appearance of the second local minimum value of the entropy in each collapse-revival cycle of the atomic inversion.
Stereo Image Coding Based on Hierarchical Disparity Estimation

Abstract: To compress the stereo video data, we propose an algorithm for stereo image coding based on hierarchical disparity estimation/compensation. A stereo image pair consists of a reference image and a target image. The reference image is coded by method using JPEG standard, while the target image is coded using the disparity estimation/compensation technique. We apply the wavelet transformation to code the created residual image, and use DPCM(difference pulse coding modulation) to code the disparity fields. Hierarchical Markov Random Field(MRF) model, Rate-Distortion(RD) model and the overlapped block matching/compensation are applied in the hybrid disparity estimation method to obtain a smooth and consistent disparity field. In terms of peak signal to noise ratio(PSNR) of the disparity compensated image, the proposed disparity estimation algorithm achieves about 2 5 dB higher PSNR, as compared to conventional variable size block matching. The experimental results also show that the disparity estimation/compensation in half pixel accuracy and dual-direction can obtain a 3dB higher performance than that of integer pixel accuracy only in horizontal direction. In the same quality of reconstructed image, our coding system can obtain 0 387 bits reduction in terms of coding bit rate of the target image compared to VSBM based scheme, and 1 003 bits reduction compared to the one using JPEG standard to code the target image. The proposed hierarchical model for disparity estimation effectively improves the efficiency of stereo image coding.

Abstract: The Ag atom in the title compound, [Ag(C13H10N2)2]NO3, shows an approximately linear coordination [N–Ag–N 162.6 (4)°]. The coordination geometry is distorted towards square-planar owing to two long Ag...O interactions [Ag...O = 2.634 (15) and 2.861 (13) ]. In the crystal structure, the Ag atom lies on a special position of 2 site symmetry; the nitrate anion is disordered about the special position. The crystal under investigation was a racemic twin with a 33% minor twin component.
Stereo Video Object Segmentation Based on Compressed Domain Information

Abstract: Stereo video object segmentation is a key technology in the multi-view video interacting. In this paper,based on the compressed domain information a novel stereo video object segmentation algorithm is proposed to improve the validity and accuracy of the segmentation. Firstly,we extract motion vectors and disparity field to segment the initial video object. Then we used the mean-shift algorithm to cluster the video object. Experimental results shows that the proposed algorithm could obtain the object with semantic confornity from the scene with complex texture.

Abstract: 在传统的 H.2 61/3以及 MPEG- 1/2标准中是采用基于块的压缩算法 ,可在低比特率运用时 ,会出现严重的块状效应及蚊式噪声。为了克服上述弱点 ,近来提出的面向对象的视频编码算法 ,曾采用时空分割方法将图象分割成若干个具有一致运动的区域。其虽可克服传统编码算法的缺陷 ,但却需有多次计算复杂的运动模型参数 ,因而造成巨大的运算负载。本文提出了一种基于二次空间变换的快速时空分割算法 (QBFTSS) ,即在图象空域分割及区域二次空间变换运动模型参数估计的基础上 ,通过将非线性的参数估计问题线性化 ,以及运用 Householder变换、求区域相应的 R、z矩阵的快速算法等方法 ,来有效地降低时空分割的运算负载。
Pilose antler polypeptides promote chondrocyte proliferation via the tyrosine kinase signaling pathway

Abstract: Chondrocytes isolated from the knee of Zealand white rabbits were cultured. The second generation chondrocytes were collected and identified using safranin-O staining. The chondrocytes were divided into the following 4 groups including serum-free, PAP, genistein (an inhibitor of tyrosine kinases), and PAP plus genistein group. Cell viability was analyzed using the MTT assay. The cell cycle distribution of the chondrocytes was analyzed by flow cytometry. The expression levels of cyclin A was detected using immunocytochemical staining.No significant difference was observed between serum-free and genistein group. Treatment of the cultures with PAP produced a significant dose-dependent increase in cell viability, the percentage proportion of chondrocytes in the S phase and Cyclin A expression as well. However, the promoting effect of PAP on chondrocyte proliferation were dose-dependently inhibited by genistein, whereas genistein alone had no effect on proliferation of isolated chondrocytes.The data demonstrate that PAP promotes chondrocyte proliferation with the increased cell number, percentage proportion of chondrocytes in S phase and expression of protein cyclin A via the TK signaling pathway.The facts that cartilage in deer antler grows at a rate of 1-2 cm per day indicates that some specific regulatory factors in antler tissues may play a key role in promoting the proliferation of chondrocytes. Recently, pilose antler polypeptides (PAP) were developed from velvet antler (VA) of sika deer (Cervus Nippon Temminck), which were found to promote chondrocyte proliferation [1]. Abstract: This paper presents a novel multiple object segmentation algorithm based on a Bayesian framework. According to the characteristic of the intra-frame and inter-frame (spatial and temporal) information, a representation of Maximization of the A posteriori Probability(MAP) of spatio-temporal label field is proposed. So a minimization of energy function is obtained. The optimization of solution is carried out by Iterated Conditional Mode(ICM) method. The initial segmentation label fields is gotten using vector histogram. The experimental results show that the algorithm is effective to multiple object segmentation with partial occlusion.

Abstract: 为探明珍珠菜属植物高温致伤的生理特性,为其园林推广提供依据,以4种珍珠菜属植物为材料,通过盆栽在人工气候箱内进行高温胁迫,研究了不同程度高温胁迫对4种珍珠菜属植物叶片的质膜透性、保护酶活性和渗透调节物质的影响.结果表明:随高温胁迫的加强,叶片的质膜透性上升;超氧化物歧化酶(SOD)、过氧化物酶(POD)活性先上升,后下降;叶绿素总量、脯氨酸含量、可溶性蛋白含量在一定程度内均增加,只是变化的幅度和进程不同.经几项生理指标的综合分析,得出广西过路黄(Lyaimachia alfredii)和花叶过路黄(L.christinae var huaye)的耐高温能力较强,金叶过路黄(L.nummularia ‘Aurea')与聚花过路黄(L.congestiflora)的耐高温能力较弱.
DISTANCE BETWEEN DENSITY OPERATORS IN MULTIPHOTON PROCESSES

Abstract: In this paper we investigate the distance between density operators in multiphoton processes. We study the distances between the time-evolved states of the atom, of the field, and of the total system and their respective reference states, compare them with the atomic inversion as well as the purity of the field, disclose their corresponding relations in various multiphoton processes. The physical interpretations are given by using a fully quantized Bloch equation in the two-photon process.
OPTICAL BISTABILITY IN V MEDIUM BY SQUEEZED VACUUM INPUT

Abstract: We discuss the optical bistable behavior of a system of N V-type three-level atoms pumped by a coherent input field and coupled to a squeezed vacuum field by treating the optical hist ability of such a system as an input-output problem. It is shown that bistability can be realized due to the squeezed vacuum input.
