The Performance of China Stock Market, Based on the Analysis of Implicit Transaction Cost  [PDF]

Abstract: This paper is based on the stocks listed on the Shanghai and Shenzhen stock exchanges for full year in the early period of 1992 to the end of 2016, using Hasbrouck sampling method to estimate the implicit transaction cost of Chinese order-driven market, and observing the performance of stock market and affecting factors based on the implicit transaction costs. Empirical results show: the implicit transaction cost is an unavoidable cost for investors, and the performance of China stock market is not ideal. Finally, it is suggested that China stock market should improve the trading system, strengthen the information disclosure system and optimize the equity system of listed companies.
Essentials for Information Coordination in Supply Chain Systems

Abstract: The supply chain plays an essential role for modern companies to retain their competitive advantages in today's business environments. As supply chain members are often separate and independent economic entities, a key issue in supply chain management is to develop mechanisms that can align their objectives and coordinate their activities so as to optimize system performance. Information is a keyword in the coordination. In this paper, we provide a review of coordination of operational information in supply chain which is classified into information types, their impact on supply chain performance, and the policy of information sharing. Then the essentials for information coordination are indicated. In the end, future research direction is pointed out.
A local converse Theorem for U(2,2)

Abstract: In \cite{GPS} and \cite{GRS}, integral representations of the $L$-functions for generic representations of the group $ Sp_{2n}\times GL_k$ were defined. In this paper, we consider similar integral representations of the $L$-functions for generic representations of the group $U(2,2)\times \textrm{Res}_{E/F}(GL_1)$ and $U(2,2)\times \textrm{Res}_{E/F}(GL_2)$ and define the corresponding local $\gamma$-factors. Following Baruch's method of Howe vectors, \cite{Ba1} and \cite{Ba2}, we prove a local converse theorem for generic representations of $U(2,2)$ using the $\gamma$-factors we defined .
When to sell a Markov chain asset?

Abstract: This paper is concerned with an optimal stock selling rule under a Markov chain model. The objective is to find an optimal stopping time to sell the stock so as to maximize an expected return. Solutions to the associated variational inequalities are obtained. Closed-form solutions are given in terms of a set of threshold levels. Verification theorems are provided to justify their optimality. Finally, numerical examples are reported to illustrate the results.

Abstract: Let $F$ be a $p$-adic field and $E/F$ be a quadratic extension. In this paper, we prove the stability of Rankin-Selberg gamma factors for $\textrm{Sp}_{2n}(F)$, $\widetilde {\textrm{Sp}}_{2n}(F)$ and $\textrm{U}_{E/F}(n,n)$ when the characteristic of the residue field of $F$ is not $2$.

Abstract: In this paper, we define a $\gamma$-factor for generic representations of $\RU(1,1)\times \Res_{E/F}(\GL_1)$ and prove a local converse theorem for $\RU(1,1)$ using the $\gamma$-factor we defined. We also give a new proof of the local converse theorem for $\GL_2$ using a $\gamma$-factor of $\GL_2\times \GL_2$ type which was originally defined by Jacquet in \cite{J}.

In this paper, the author analyzes characteristics and extracting method of interference signal of the distributed optical fiber sensing. In the distributed optical fiber sensing, realizing alarm and positioning function only through the cross-correlation operation will increase the load of the system, can make misinformation rate of the system be improved greatly. Therefore, before the localization algorithm, adding a interference signal feature recognition is very necessary, can reduce unnecessary operation loss and reduce the load of the system, also reducing the number of the false positives.

Global Warming Impacts on Alpine Vegetation Dynamic in Qinghai-Tibet Plateau of China  [PDF]

This study is to illustrate alpine vegetation dynamics in Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau of China from simulated filed experimental climate change, vegetation community dynamic simulation integrated with scenarios of global temperature increase of 1 to 3°C, and simulated regional alpine vegetation distribution changes in responses to global warming. Our warming treatment increased air temperatures by 5°C on average and soil temperatures were elevated by 3°C at 5 cm depth. Above- ground biomass of grasses responded rapidly to the warmer conditions whereby biomass was 25% greater than that of controls after only 5 wk of experimental warming. This increase was accompanied by a simultaneous decrease in forb biomass, resulting in almost no net change in community biomass after 5 wk. Under warmed conditions, peak community bio-mass was extended into October due in part to continued growth of grasses and the postponement of senescence. The Vegetation Dynamic Simulation Model calculates a probability surface for each vegetation type, and then combines all vegetation types into a composite map, determined by the maximum likelihood that each vegetation type should distribute to each raster unit. With scenarios of global temperature increase of 1°C to 3°C, the vegetation types such as Dry Kobresia Meadow and Dry Potentilla Shrub that are adapted to warm and dry conditions tend to become more dominant in the study area.

Abstract: Achievable rate (AR) is significant to communications. As to multi-input multi-output (MIMO) digital transmissions with finite alphabets inputs, which greatly improve the performance of communications, it seems rather difficult to calculate accurate AR. Here we propose an estimation of con-siderable accuracy and low complexity, based on Euclidean measure matrix for given channel states and constellations. The main contribution is explicit expression, non-constraints to MIMO schemes and channel states and constellations, and controllable estimating gap. Numerical results show that the proposition is able to achieve enough accurate AR computation. In addition the estimating gap given by theoretical deduction is well agreed.
