Spatial Models of River Channel Planforms in Geographic Information System  [PDF]

Abstract:

Rivers which are important objects in real world need be appropriately described in Geographic Information System to be conveniently inquired and detailed analyzed for human being. Many spatial models were proposed in the past, but spatial models with regard to river channel plan- forms (RCPs) are lesser-known. This work proposes spatial models of river channel planforms (SMRCPs) based on the properties of river channel planforms in the real world and the spatial relation theory. We proposed the segment conditions based on RCPs properties in Geographic Information System to describe rivers in the real world by SMRCPs in detail.

Abstract:
Explore the new way of product derivation by integrating the interaction design thinking into the product derivation method. It analyzes the thinking mode of interaction design, describes how to make the product provide better experience for the user, from the perspective of the four elements of people, activity, context and technology, and shows how to combine interaction thinking for product derivation through the cases. Good products in addition to the realization of the function also need to meet the needs of the user experience. Product derived can get new methods and ideas from the interaction design of systematic thinking, so that products can provide better service for users in the digital era.

Abstract: Cold-chain demand of fresh agricultural products is increasing in China, while network layout of cold-chain logistics is in disorder and its cost is huge. To address this problem, this paper casts an optimal model of cold-chain logistics network and tackles it with genetic algorithms. This optimal model takes running total cost of logistics network as the objective, and embeds a nonlinear mixed integer programming including two assignment issues. The model determines optimal layout and logistics management for pre-cooling stations and logistics center for fresh agricultural products. Our main contribution is to consider construction cost and operation cost of cold chain logistics simultaneously. Case study illustrates the effectiveness of the model.
Computing Naturally in the Billiard Ball Model

Abstract: Fredkin's Billiard Ball Model (BBM) is considered one of the fundamental models of collision-based computing, and it is essentially based on elastic collisions of mobile billiard balls. Moreover, fixed mirrors or reflectors are brought into the model to deflect balls to complete the computation. However, the use of fixed mirrors is "physically unrealistic" and makes the BBM not perfectly momentum conserving from a physical point of view, and it imposes an external architecture onto the computing substrate which is not consistent with the concept of "architectureless" in collision-based computing. In our initial attempt to reduce mirrors in the BBM, we present a class of gates: the m-counting gate, and show that certain circuits can be realized with few mirrors using this gate. We envisage that our findings can be useful in future research of collision-based computing in novel chemical and optical computing substrates.

We get some existence results of periodic solutions for system, a.e. , , by using nonsmooth critical point theory. Our results generalize and improve some theorems in the literature.

Abstract: By using T. Oprea's optimization methods on submanifolds, we give another proof of the inequalities relating the normalized $\delta-$Casorati curvature $\hat{\delta}_c(n-1)$ for submanifolds in real space forms. Also, inequalities relating the normalized $\delta-$Casorati curvature $\delta_C(n-1)$ for submanifolds in real space forms are obtained. Besides, we characterize a kind of Casorati ideal hypersurface of Euclidean 4-space. We also show that this kind of Casorati ideal hypersurface is rigid.

Kinetics Analyzing of Direction Reduction on Manganese Ore Pellets Containing Carbon  [PDF]

Abstract: Using high temperature carbon tube furnace, reduction of manganese ore pellets containing carbon was investigated. The reaction was divided into two stages at five minutes after reaction, and the kinetics model of reduction process was established. The experimental results showed that, the reaction rate in the earlier stage was controlled by the chemical reactions between FeO, MnO and carbon reductant, and the activation energy was 28.85 KJ/mol. In the later stage, as the carbon reductant replaced by CO, the reaction rate was controlled by CO-diffusing in solid products, and the cor- responding activation energy was 86.56 KJ/mol. Reaction rate of the later stage was less than the earlier one.
The New Approximate Calculation Method for the First Order Reliability  [PDF]

Abstract: The new method is presented for computing engineering structure reliability by direct searching the next checking point and accelerating convergence based on the analysis of errors in the center point method and borrowing ideas form the merits of the other First-Order Second Moment (FOSM) methods. The idea of the direct searching method is constructing a new explicit searching formula to make the new checking point being more closed to the failure surface based on the results of the center point method. The new checking point has steepest descent character because the searching path is the gradient of the approximate surface. An example shows that the method presented in this article has well precision. Although the direct searching formula may not reach the globally optimal point, the error can be controlled owing to the locally optimal plan at each searching step.
Measuring Method of Radius of Curvature Based on Dual-Frequency Laser Interferometer  [PDF]

Abstract:
In order to achieve high-accuracy measurement of radius of curvature of optical sphere, ultra-high accuracy radius of curvature testing device is developed by dual-frequency laser interferometer and Fizeau interferometer based on cat’s eye and confocal method. Through analyzing the error source models of radius of curvature testing, optical configuration of the testing device has been optimized. Precise environment control and real-time monitoring system is also established to reduce the errors caused by environment. Through the above processes, the radius of curvature measurement relative accuracy is better than 2 ppm. One optical sphere, R88.5 mm, test aperture 59 mm, has been tested. Testing result is 88499.465 ± 0.176 μm, meeting the design requirement. The method has high accuracy and practical advantages.
