Abstract: 古汉语反义词研究在反义词的判断标准、反义词的类型以及断代、专书反义词研究等方面已经取得了一定的进展,这种进展与现代词汇学、语义学理论的发展密不可分。古汉语反义词研究发展的趋向应该是具备现代观念、历史观念、系统观念,注重吸收现代语言学理论,注重对古汉语反义词的历时考察和系统描写;应将描写和解释结合起来,让描写为理论提供充足的证据,让理论对语言现象做出充分的解释;应把演绎法、比较法等多种研究方法结合起来;研究的重点是断代、专书反义词研究,为词汇史研究和断代反义词词典的编纂做出贡献。

Abstract: In the title compound, [Co(N3)2(H2O)4]·C14H12N2O4·2H2O, the metal complex molecule is centrosymmetric, the Co(II) ion being six-coordinated by two azide N atoms and four aqua O atoms with a trans-octahedral geometry. The zwitterionic organic molecule is also centrosymmetric. In the crystal, the components are associated into a two-dimensional network through O—H...O hydrogen bonds. Further O—H...O and O—H...N interactions give a three-dimensional structure. The free water molecule is disordered over two positions in a 0.787 (5):0.213 (5) ratio.

Abstract: The title compound, C10H5ClF2N2OS, was obtained by linking an amino heterocycle and a substituted benzoyl chloride. The dihedral angle between the two rings is 41.2 (2)° and the equalization of the amide C—N bond lengths reveals the existence of conjugation between the benzene ring and the thiazole unit. In the crystal, pairs of N—H...N hydrogen bonds link molecules into inversion dimers. Non-classical C—H...F and C—H...O hydrogen bonds stabilize the crystal structure.

Abstract: In the title compound, C19H18O5, the ester group is twisted with respect to the acetylsalicylic acid and eugenol rings at dihedral angles of 22.48 (2) and 81.07 (1)°, respectively. The dihedral angle between the two benzene rings is 60.72 (1)°. The crystal packing exhibits no significantly short intermolecular contacts.
LATS2 is De-methylated and Overexpressed in Nasopharyngeal Carcinoma and Predicts Poor Prognosis

Abstract: Using quantitative real time PCR and immunoblotting, the expression of LATS2 was detected in nasopharyngeal carcinoma cell lines and in the immortalized nasopharyngeal epithelial cell line NP69. Using immunohistochemistry, we analyzed LATS2 protein expression in 220 nasopharyngeal carcinoma cases. The association of LATS2 protein expression with the clinicopathological characteristics and the prognosis of nasopharyngeal carcinoma were subsequently assessed. Using methylation specific PCR, we detected the methylation status of the LATS2 promoter. RNA interference was performed by transfecting siRNA to specifically knock down LATS2 expression in 5-8F and CNE2.LATS2 protein was detected in 178 of 220 (80.91%) cases of nasopharyngeal carcinoma. LATS2 overexpression was a significant, independent prognosis predictor (P = 0.037) in nasopharyngeal carcinoma patients. Methylation specific PCR revealed that 36.7% (11/30) of nasopharyngeal carcinoma tissues and all of the chronic nasopharyngeal inflammation samples were methylated. Functional studies showed that the suppression of LATS2 expression in nasopharyngeal carcinoma (5-8F and CNE2) cell lines by using specific small interfering (siRNA) resulted in the inhibition of growth, induction of apoptosis and S-phase cell cycle increase. Overexpression of LATS2 in NP69 stimulated cell proliferation.Our results indicate that LATS2 might play a role in the tumorigenesis of nasopharyngeal carcinoma by promoting the growth of nasopharyngeal carcinoma cells. Transfection with specific siRNA might be feasible for the inhibition of growth, induction of apoptosis and S phase increase in nasopharyngeal carcinoma.Nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC) is endemic to certain areas of Southern China, South-Asia and North Africa. Abstract: 利用重叠PCR技术在体外拼接IFNB和HSA基因,将得到的融合基因插入到毕赤酵母分泌型表达载体pPIC9K中,置于启动子AOX1和α交配因子信号肽的作用下,分泌表达融合蛋白IFNβ-HSA。重组质粒pPIC9K-IFNβ-HSA经SalI线性化,电击转化毕赤酵母KM71,经G418筛选得到高拷贝转化子。PCR鉴定后,用甲醇诱导表达,SDS-PAGE和Western blot分析表达的融合蛋白IFNB-HSA,表明该蛋白分子量约为90kDa,且具有HSA的抗原性;用细胞病变抑制法测定发酵液上清中融合蛋白的干扰素活性约为640IU/ml。
Assessing Plasma Levels of Selenium, Copper, Iron and Zinc in Patients of Parkinson’s Disease

Abstract: Trace elements have been recognized to play an important role in the development of Parkinson’s disease (PD). However, it is difficult to precisely identify the relationship between these elements and the progression of PD because of an insufficient number of patients. In this study, quantifications of selenium (Se), copper (Cu), iron (Fe) and zinc (Zn) by atomic absorption spectrophotometry were performed in plasma from 238 PD patients and 302 controls recruited from eastern China, which is so far the largest cohort of PD patients and controls for measuring plasma levels of these elements. We found that plasma Se and Fe concentrations were significantly increased whereas Cu and Zn concentrations decreased in PD patients as compared with controls. Meanwhile, these four elements displayed differential changes with regard to age. Linear and logistic regression analyses revealed that both Fe and Zn were negatively correlated with age in PD patients. Association analysis suggests that lower plasma Se and Fe levels may reduce the risk for PD, whereas lower plasma Zn is probably a PD risk factor. Finally, a model was generated to predict PD patients based on the plasma concentrations of these four trace elements as well as other features such as sex and age, which achieved an accuracy of 80.97±1.34% using 10-fold cross-validation. In summary, our data provide new insights into the roles of Se, Cu, Fe and Zn in PD progression.

Abstract: The relationships between Paphiopedilum wardii and its related species are briefly discussed. Two new species: Paph. burmanicum J. Y. Zhang et Z. J. Liu and Paph. brevilabium Z. J. Liu et J. Y. Zhang are described and illustrated. A key to the five species treated is provided.
Additional notes on the subgenus Brachypetalum (s. l.) of Paphiopedilum

Abstract: Two new orchid taxa, Paphiopedilum globulosum Z. J. Liu et S. C. Chen and Paphiopedilum micranthum Tang et Wang var. oblatum Z. J. Liu et J. Y. Zhang, are described and illustrated based on cultivated plants originating in southeastern Yunnan. Both of them are related to Paphiopdilum micranthum Tang et Wang, from which the former differs by having much broader leaves 2.8 ~ 3.4 cm wide, a somewhat hooked-tipped lip 1.1 ~ 1.2 cm wide, and a staminode al-most as big as the mouth of the lip, and the latter by broader leaves 2.2 ~ 3 cm wide and an oblate lip at a depth of no more than 1 cm. They all belong to the subgenus Brachypetalum (s. l. ). A key to 16 Chinese and Vietnamese species of this subgenus is provided.
